WASHINGTON — Extremists from groups linked to al Qaida struck the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya, in a “deliberate and organized terrorist attack,” the top U.S. intelligence agency said Friday, as it took responsibility for the Obama administration’s initial claims that the deadly assault grew from a spontaneous protest against an anti-Islam video.
The unusual statement from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence appeared to have two goals: updating the public on the latest findings of the investigation into the assault, and shielding the White House from a political backlash over its original accounts.

Arab Spring: a brilliant plan to put Muslims into power that can get things done. Illegally used the US military to overthrow a government that was behaving to replace it with one that can get things done (Libya). So far, need to get more friendlies into place. Egypt is going very well.
Embassy Attacks: Intelligence officers will take the blame. The movie story was an effort to keep you from blaming reasonable Muslims who cannot allow their Mohamed to be attacked. All Muslims agree on this,it is who they are.
Obama knows the Repubs will cover for him. They cannot let you know what's really going on. And Obama is going to continue on until he is hung for treason.
this was added following and because of 9/11, and was the site of daily intelligence briefings. Bush attended most all of them. Bush relied heavily on professional intelligence officers - ditto the military, and did not play politics with them.

I don’t quite know what to say. What power does this “president” have that he’s powerful enough to get the intelligence office to lie and cover for him.
I call BS on the intelligence failure card. At the beginning of this, they had a few former intelligence types ( don’t see them anymore ) stating that since the Arab Spring they were told hands off. With this administration, I believe them.
It was the CIA that got the details of Saddam’s WMD wrong, but all we heard was it was Bush’s fault.

I think I should take the job. I am a stay at home wife and figured out what happened within minutes of hearing there was an attack on 9/11. It is like they planned the protests without knowing there was a real terrorist attack in the works elsewhere even though those very terrorists armed by them announced their plans months ago. Or maybe they had several folks working on the Wag the Dog project, and they didn’t clear it all with their boss. So their ideas overlapped and the message was lost.
Regardless, we have dead Americans. Two of them died valiantly trying to save others. I would like to know more about the conditions of the others who came to the rescue of the folks at the consulate.

It takes the POTUS a week and a half to check with the CIA to get the message we all knew almost from the very beginning? This is BS.
