Iran's leading news agency published a mock poll that claimed rural whites in the U.S. favored Iranian leader Mahmoud Ahmadinejad over president Barack Obama.

The mock poll was originally published on a popular U.S. media site, The Onion.

Some of the comments are hilarious.

There are however libtards in force calling outright for free speech to be curtailed. I expect many DU types will miss that this is from the Onion and spout the "poll" as fact.

I imagine the editor for FARS has a center stage invite at the gallows after this one.

The poll would probably be true if you replaced “rural whites” with “urban blacks”.

Of course they were not duped. Obama is not the only one who has discovered the fertile soil of seeking support among the stupid.

This poll “result” will convince some in Iran how right their cause is as even the American public agrees. Other will view their leader in higher esteem for being popular around the world. I guess there is always the danger of an opponent painting him as an American agent after such a “result” is reported.

It's tricky choosing between anti-American, anti-Semitic thugs, particularly when they seen to share so many alien cultural values. This Onion claim is funny precisely because it is so close to the truth. The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence; perhaps their tyrant would be better than ours.
