I wonder how many would have died with no coal to heat thier house, or provide energy for them to make a living?

I’m surprised SloJo didn’t add “Life.”

After all, everybody that lives, dies. Winner, hands down.

Whatever. Joe Biden is, and has always been, a moron. A living testament to the idiocy of the American voting public.

Something funny. On another forum I post on, a conservative made a post regarding Joe Biden and his gaffes. A discussion ensues, and it's pointed out by a conservative that when Sarah Palin said something stupid, the media blew it up and portrayed her as an idiot. However, the media and the liberal flock make nary a beep when Biden gaffes away. A liberal then replies that it is because when Sarah Palin says something stupid, it's because she is stupid, and that's why she's given a hard time. When Biden says something stupid, he isn't attacked in the same manner because people know that Biden is actually a very smart man who says some stupid things. I kid you not. I was like:

Really Joe? I bet coal saves far more lives than that daily. Gee Joe coal gives us electrical power generation. That makes surgeries possible, heats or cools homes, keeps needed medical equipment in hospitals, nursing homes, and peoples homes operational. Those are just the simple facts of coal Joe.

Yea Joe that same logic also says motorized vehicles kill people. Pay no attention to that fire truck or ambulance. That truck hauling groceries to the store for you too purchase is just a hallucination too Joe maybe a doctor can help. Oh that's right it takes a vehicle to get there and hey his lights are out also. Whoops big boo boo.

Why I bet if we just wave the magical presidential mandate wand and say so be it the power plants will generate Green Energy without fuel and the vehicles will run as well. Gee Joe I'm so glad we have knowledgeable persons like you running the country {into the ground with your parties Mr MaGoo vision and guidance} looking out for this nation.

BTW Do I really need a sarcasm tag?

THAT, is a very disturbing prospect. All the furor the left raised about Palin being a heartbeat away, yet we end up this this RETARDED GUY. Impeachment insurance, no doubt.

President Biden would be a huge improvement. He wouldn’t be able to get anything accomplished.

Yes. I said it. And I meant it.

God have mercy on us all.

Idiot # 1 interviewing Idiot # 2. I hope # 1 gets his due in full later. Can’t stand him. He’s the white version of Obama. No wonder they get along so well. Come to think of it; they’re both bisexual so there may be a reason for it.

Bernie Cohen, emeritus professor of health physics at the University of Pittsburgh, credibly stated that the effects of burning coal “killed” about 50,000 Americans every year. (”Killed” in the sense of excess annual mortality.) He does NOT think that banning the burning of coal is a good idea, because of the EVEN WORSE adverse effects of poverty, both in terms of mortality and standard of living. An excess of 50,000 deaths per year in a population of 300,000,000 corresponds to a decrease in average life span of less than one year.

Cohen makes the point that it is easy to estimate the effects of lowering ones standard of living on mortality and the effects of burning coal. If we stopped burning coal, with no replacement energy, the effect would be a decrease in lifespan of about 20 years, comparable to the beginning of the century. Cohen advocates nuclear energy, but that has been demonized even more than coal.

“nuclear energy - demonized more than coal”

. . Yep; and could you please expound on precise reasons why nuclear energy disasters such as Chernobyl and the more recent Japanese perfect storm of natural disasters coupled with nuclear power reactors should not give one pause?
