The US Embassy in Cairo issued a terrorist threat warning on Friday for American citizens living in Egypt.
The diplomatic mission stated on its website that it has “credible information suggesting terrorist interest in targeting US female missionaries in Egypt.”
The embassy urged US citizens to “exercise vigilance, taking necessary precautions to maintain their personal security.” Americans in Egypt were also advised to maintain valid travel documents and to regularly monitor the US Department of State’s Bureau of Consular Affairs website, which lists updated travel warnings and alerts.

That is Rep. Kay Granger from Texas placing the hold. I believe that Michele Bachmann is working to hold funds as well. It might help if we all call our congress critters and senators this week and let them know we do not want anymore money going to Egypt as long as Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood is in charge.

We all have to start putting our foot down on this stuff by letting our representatives know that we have had enough and that we also want investigations into the Muslim brotherhood influence and infiltration on Capitol hill and the White House.

Reminds me of the lib missionary in the movie THE SAND PEBBLES. Refusing to leave, he declares himself to be a “stateless Person”. Fleeing to the Chinese rebels, he is promptly shot by them.

And, re the ‘war on women’...the Republicans might want to point out that ‘pimps’ are not a positive force for women, yet Mr. Obama thought it was “an honor” to be on a radio show hosted by ‘the Pimp with a Limp’!
In October 2010 I, a retired American male tourist, walked the streets of Cairo Egypt and Amman Jordan alone and even after dark and never was accosted or killed. Both countries are marvels to see. Most of the locals were polite and some even welcoming, but I could sense some resentment to our American government and policies towards Israel, etc. in the way they spoke.
What kept the lid on their behavior and kept me safe was that both countries were ruled by strong rulers who had linked their fates with American policy as we practiced it from 1949 to 2009. Now, Obama has, without the input of anyone but his inner circle, has switched from a policy to keep the lid on radical Islam to supporting it. Big Mistake or maybe an act of treason against we Americans who thought every president, even a Democrat, put our land first and would protect us.
Well, if Truman lost China, Obama lost Egypt.
Because Egypt is such a great ally!

Unfortunately, I don't think I'd believe anything sent out by the State Dept these days. All warnings or non-warnings will from here on in be intended to protect Hillary's reputation.
Everything now is politically motivated. I'd bet the missionaries know more about what's really going on than these 60's hippie "diplomats".

I called our congresscritters explaining how stupid it is to Borrow money to give/use.
Good for you on calling your reps!! We all need to really start bugging them about this stuff. Now is the best time to get them to move with the election coming up. If you get a chance...watch that Beck special. It will scare the hell out of you.
