STATE DEPT. SCRUBS 'ALL CLEAR' MEMO ISSUED FIVE DAYS BEFORE LIBYA ATTACK
Breitbart ^ | 28 Sep 2012 | AWR HAWKINS

Posted on 09/29/2012 8:42:31 AM PDT by kingattax

Five days before the attacks on the U.S. consulate in Libya, the U.S. state department posted an Overseas Security Advisory Council (OSAC) memo saying there was no credible threat of violence against the U.S. for the then-upcoming September 11 anniversary.

That memo has since been scrubbed from government websites.

The memo read in part: "The OSAC has no credible information to suggest that Al-Qaeda or any other terrorist group is plotting any kind of attack overseas to coincide with the upcoming anniversary of September 11."

Far from warning of impeding danger, the memo told U.S. personnel that increased media attention for the September 11 anniversary might make them feel something was wrong, but they were assured "there was [no] credible evidence of a terrorist plot."

OSAC has no credible information

This statement says nothing less than the intelligence assets and access built up during the Bush II administration has been dismantled and left to rot through politically correct neglect during the past three and a half years of American Socialist rule. Simple common sense would tell anyone with a functioning synapse that Al Qaida would not allow the 11th anniversary of 9/11 to pass without trying to strike somewhere.

This is criminal negligence. Imagine the Roosevelt administration in 1943 sending a bulletin out to the Merchant Marine telling them the Atlantic shipping lanes were "all clear" of U-Boat activity.

This needs to stay in Breaking News for widest dissemination as this part of the cover-up still has not broken through.

Fox News did a nine minute long timeline report last night on the Benghazi attack and failed to include the scrubbed State Dept. memo.

It is sad that anyone, particularly mass media new outlets, could believe that an embassy could be attacked and the only people to die were an Ambassador, an Information Technology Officer and two former Navy Seals who were not part of the security detachment however were the only ones with live ammo.

Meanwhile, Boehner and the rest of the Rino wimps are sitting in a corner, sucking their thumbs and holding onto a blanket.

I agree kristinn. It was first posted on Sept. 15 and should stay up. I posted it to my facebook page that very day. Everyone who has facebook should post this memo and the article so it gets spread far and wide.

I don’t think we’re going to make much headway against democrats until the media wall that supports and protects them gets neutralized.

Somehow, tar and feathers isn't going to be an adequate solution.

There are four or more American lives to avenge.

Our intel folks and the people they serve are accountable.

"The press would go down in flames protecting Barry."

We should stop this business of 'the press.' Name names every time. Name them and link their name with dishonesty, stupidity, and unprofessionalism.

Admin:

Thanks for staying with the traditional definition of “Breaking News:” Breaking news refers to events that are currently developing, or “breaking.” Breaking news usually refers to events that are unexpected, such as a plane crash or building fire.

Sorry guys, if it happened 15 days ago as this story did, it’s no longer Breaking News. “Not covered by the Fracking Lame Stream Media and that pisses me off” news perhaps, but not Breaking News.

Find the jihad sympathizers behind the “all clear” investigation and get rid of them. They are there. The usual government excuse “mistakes were made” does not cut it given the jihadi sympathizers have now diverted attention in the “war on terror” from jihadis and onto American soldiers and vets.
