The Israeli Embassy in the U.S. had a field day after the Iranian state-run Fars News Agency used a made up report by the satirical news site The Onion, and passed it off as what they presumed to be real.
The fake report stated that a new Gallup poll showed that Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was overwhelming preferred over President Obama by rural white Americans.
The Onion headline, “Gallup Poll: Rural Whites Prefer Ahmadinejad to Obama”, was immediately picked up by Fars and hours later the news agency ran an identical story.
The Israeli Embassy found this all too amusing, writing on Twitter, “Dear Iran (@khamenei_ir): @TheOnion is not a reliable source for US opinion…”....

For next Onion: First Amendment to be Amended.
A constitutional convention has been convened to consider a proposed amendment to the Bill of Rights, the first amendment of which will now read: “Congress shall make no law abridging freedom of the press, freedom of artistic expression, or freedom of speech, except to prevent anyone inclined to do violence from getting pi@#$ed off, and may now make laws respecting an establishment of religion if said religion makes its adherents inclined to commit violence.” It will be known as the Blue Suede Shoes amendment. Moslems the world over rioted in outrage at the convening of this convention.
Agit prop by any other name. Obama will find some way to spin this as the fault of Tea Partiers.
If my choices were an overt Moslem nutball or a covert Moslem nutball, I'd strongly consider picking the former.
