Police believe death was from overdose
ECORSE, Mich - Former Michigan lottery winner Amanda Clayton was found dead early Saturday morning at a friend's house in Ecorse.
Police believe she died from an overdose. Reports are saying it was from prescription medication.
Clayton, from Lincoln Park, first made headlines when she won a $1 million jackpot on the game show "Make Me Rich" last September.
Local 4 Defender Karen Drew later revealed that Clayton was collecting food stamps after winning the jackpot.
She was charged with welfare fraud and sentenced to probation in July.
That was a wasted life. What a damn shame!
Poor or rich, she remained stupid.
I remember this gal.
A sad tale of self-perpetuating Liberal ignorance - deeply embedded - and it’s consequences. (Not that Liberals will ‘get it’; of course.) Am assumming they know whether the ‘overdose’ was by her own hand - or not.
I think some FReepers predicted that this would happen.
There are people in this world that absolutely cannot handle money and/or power.
Why giving poor people money does not end poverty.
She will be added to the TV show that pops up from time to time, thats called something like “Lottery Losers”.
Apparently, she would have lived a much longer life if she had not won the lottery and thus had money to spend on drugs.
She is not the first, nor the last of “Lottery Losers”.
Did she get an absentee ballot for Obama mailed in?
Who gets her Obamaphone?
A young, fairly attractive American woman with roughly half a million dollars at her ‘disposal’ and time to decide what path in life to take but in the end...she took too much.
Death doesn’t matter.. She’ll still vote in Detroit. Probably more than once.
