ENN Group leader says world-wide company committed to develop their projects(Harry Reid connection)
Laughlin Times (NV) ^ | 9/24/12 | By the LAUGHLIN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION - special report

Meeting with representatives and supporters of the Laughlin Economic Development Corporation during the fifth annual National Clean Energy Summit at the Bellagio in Las Vegas on Aug. 7, the North American leader of world-wide ENN Group reinforced his company’s commitment to develop the Nevada Clean Energy Eco-Center in Laughlin.

(SNIP)

ENN is advancing its projects and will issue periodic progress reports, Dr. Zhou indicated. In addition to a large scale solar generating field (about a dozen times the size of the famous Solar One field in southern Boulder City) and a solar manufacturing plant, ENN plans to develop an intelligent energy eco-city to demonstrate and promote sustainable living. “We continue to advance our work on multiple fronts of the project. Many of the steps require confidentiality agreements with our partners and contractors. So we will issue progress reports when and where appropriate. The journey of ENN Group has been and will continue to be guided by our corporate culture which includes the fostering of creativity, and a sense of responsibility,” Dr. Zhou said. “We are working very hard and as fast as possible. The development of a project of this scale and complexity takes time.”

Zhou added, “Depending on, and in response to, the power market demand and the actual needs of utilities, ENN is willing to consider increasing the investment (to) come up with energy solutions with added values.”

The ChiComs are up against local politics and economic reality.

Locally, the county and state need to approve everything and they are in conflict with each other.

No money has changed hands. The ChiComs need a buyer/contract for their energy in advance and Nevada ain't buying no matter the presure from Dingy Hairy. California is broke.

The Red Chinese solar industry is virtually bankrupt.

If you're in Nevada, and I am, Boulder City in fact, don't bet on this scam going anywhere.

Thank you for the update - it is good news!!

This article is actually more of a press release from the county’s Economic Development Corporation. Their biased view is that the county does indeed want this investment.

"Their biased view is that the county does indeed want this investment."

Oh, the county and the state want it. The BLM has authorized the land sale and Dingy Hairy and local poobahs had a ground breaking ceremony months ago.

However, the deal is far from consumated. IMHO, nothing comes of it.

Also, note this bit of slippery rhetoric:

"Many of the steps require confidentiality agreements with our partners and contractors. So we will issue progress reports when and where appropriate, Dr. Zhou indicated"

Now, this groundbreaking took place exactly one day before Solyndra declared bankruptcy. Solyndra was supposed to manufacture the same stuff the ChiComs are proposing.

At the time, the Reds were counting on getting some Obama Bucks. That doesn't look so good now, eh?

The plant is also seen as a ChiCom propaganda effort more than a real deal. "Ah so. China has 33% tariff on solar panels, so we will manufacture in the land of opportunity, America. Comrades Obama and Reed approve."

Boulder City, Nevada bought 200,000 acres from the BLM with the help of Dingy Harry and our other congressmen. The land is pre-approved by EPA for energy generation. The city has three leases of a million bucks+. We get several offers each year by fly by night scammers who only want a forum in front of the city council so they can boost their penny stocks. Others insist they need the lease in order to secure financing. We demand money up front.
