Scott Brown Slams Elizabeth Warren In Debate Exchange: 'I'm Not A Student In Your Classroom'

The second debate between Republican Scott Brown and Democrat Elizabeth Warren in the Massachusetts Senate race got a bit testy Monday night, as Brown charged Warren with treating him like one of her students in a particularly edgy exchange.

The candidates were debating bipartisanship in Congress when Warren, a Harvard Law School professor, began to interrupt.

"Excuse me. I'm not a student in your classroom," a clearly peeved Brown said. "Please let me respond."

A stunned crowd gave a prolonged, "Oooooooooh," at Brown's statement.

Later in the debate, moderator David Gregory asked each candidate to name one good thing about the other. Brown, who has taken to referring to Warren as "Professor," praised her work.

"She's such a good professor," Brown said. "So I'm going to do everything in my power that she continues to be in that position."

The debate went into a fair amount of detail about the extensive legal work that Warren has performed.

Her lack of a law license? Too boring to mention. It just didn’t come up, man.

I saw a few minutes. I thought the moderator was very aggressive towards Brown, and that Brown lost his cool somewhat. I even think that on style Warren may have come out ahead, at least in the segments I saw, which was probably about 2/3 into the debate. She didn’t seem as ruffled, probably because the moderator was less confrontational with her.

She had a sympathetic university crowd, which helped her be more relaxed. However, I don’t know that it matters much.

I wonder what her students think of her ? If Harvard had student evals, I wonder how they would evaluate her ?

Even Gregory had to tell Warren to shut up at one point, it was funny. Brown did great. I think Warren came up absolutely content-free parroting Obama lines. The crowd was stacked with union thugs.

I guess the dumb a** who wrote this article can't tell sarcasm when he/she hears it.

Scott Brown’s low point, IMHO, was saying that John F’in Kerry would make a good Secretary of State. Say what?

She’s got high cheekbones.”

And she's not Obama.

That's two of her best points right there.
