When we bought the farm, the chicken coop had a double inside wall that went 1;2 way to the ceiling...There were mice living between the 2 walls so I decided on day to tear down the inside wall, the chickens fought over the mice...2 guineas fought over one until it just tore in half. Had a dam rat that kept chewing through the cement floor. I had to keep filling it in with quik crete...they'd chew through the patch, it took yelling at my husband to get it fixed. Used 2 X 4 for a frame...kept them out, it was always in the same area they could chew through... The farm house and barns were 100 years old...the posts and beams were huge tree's that still had the bark on them in the barns...
