Media: Romney won the debate
Washington Examiner ^ | OCTOBER 3, 2012 | Joel Gehrke

Media outlets and personalities across the political spectrum agreed that Mitt Romney won the first presidential debate of the general election.

“That wasn’t a debate so much as Mitt Romney just took Obama for a cross country drive strapped to the roof of his car,” The Weekly Standard’s Mark Hemingway tweeted. But it wasn’t just conservatives saying Romney beat Obama.

“What was Romney doing? He was winning!” MSNBC’s Chris Matthews said. “Obama should watch MSNBC every night” to improve his debate prep, he added.

Newsweek’s Andrew Sullivan, a fervent Obama supporter, denounced his performance. “He choked. He lost. He may even have lost election tonight,” Sullivan tweeted.

“Has Obama ever been this off his game?” Vanity Fair tweeted, adding “Good LORD Obama wouldn’t win a student council election against a chubby nerd with that closing argument.”

James Carville, a former Clinton adviser, said on CNN that it “Looked like Romney wanted to be there & Obama didn’t,” per Laura Ingraham, who also noted that Anderson Cooper said Obama appeared “rusty.”

Tonight both Ed Schultz and Chris Matthews specifically said that Obama was losing this debate. Those exact words,

Now in Koolaid land you always say your guy is winning NO MATTER WHAT because that is how you win.

WINNING IS WINNING NOT WHINING!

“I’m surprised Obama didn’t point that out to the American people tonight.”

SO Obama is supposed to - in the middle of the debate - say

“This Romney character is really not as conservative as he made himself out to be in the primary.”

Really.

If you look at Obama’s record he never governed - he didn’t care.

Agree and disagree Mike. Obama has accomplished much of what he set out to do, and did it like a good con man, telling the public to look here while his more important goals were proceeding at full speed. He managed to launch revolutions in seven North African and Middle Eastern countries, arming the Muslim Brotherhood in each case. He succeeded in Libya, Egypt, Sudan, and is still at work in Syria, the Kurd region of Iraq, Algeria, and Morocco. He has put single payer healthcare into law and put two progressives onto the Supreme Court who joined Roberts, a progressive we didn't know about, in suppressing the will of the public, who didn't want a government monopoly on healhcare. He has bought our nation's largest auto manufacturer with our tax money, or tax maney we we must spend to repay the bonds sold to the Chinese, and put GM into the hands of his Marxist comrades at the AFL/CIO. He has appointed thousands of leftists and hundreds of Muslims to government agencies where they will continue to pursue their respective objectives, both of which seek to replace our liberal democracy with thier power structure.

Obama has done remarkably well for someone who is truely a a political activist, with no experience producing or running any business that needs the willing investment of its customers. That is why his clients, both the Muslims and the Marxists, whose management of societies is alwasys a form of dictatorship, find him useful. What they can't do is imbue him with the independence of thought needed to prevail in a debate, even when moderators are themselves old Marxists. He may think for himsellf, but has spent so much of his life assuming whatever identity served him at the moment that honest objective thinking must be very difficult. If he ever did any independed thinking his handlers, who must be deeply embedded in our government agencies, have concealed it - his writing as a student, and even , President (I believe he was President and not editor?) of the Harvard Law Review.

I suspect he is ready to retire with his menservants to his thirty six million dollar Hawaiian estate where Michelle cam shop with the girls and her mother and Barack can return to his private life of golf and basketball with his male friends. Barack could not have been expected to prevail in a debate with someone with a real, not purchased by Alwaleed bin-Talal, Harvard law degree, along with an MBA, who has often run businesses and been responsible for P&L (profit and loss), not to mention, someone who has been conscious for much more of his life than the younger Barack, given the drug culture from which al-Mansour pulled him.

Romney cleaned Obama’s clock (”Big Barack”), tore down his clock-tower, beat the stones into pebbles and had them shipped in a truck to a landfill in New Jersey.

By the end of the debate, Obama sounded like a Milton Friedman/Free Entreprise defending clone. Why he even was pride of America, the greatest country in the world (why didn’t he and Michele say that years ago?).

On defense Obama sounded like a fool. His job as president, to quote him, was to “defend America” and keep her strong.

Tell that to Ambassador Young and the three other brave Americans he and Hillary let get killed by Al Qaeda in Libya. How about the Rules of Engagement which have gotten so many of our fine soldiers killed in Afghanistan?

Obama’s pick, Gen. Martin Dempsey, for the head of the Jt. Chiefs of Staff, was a disaster and still is. Dempsey is more concerned about gays and women in the military than he is in winning an ongoing war.

And the sequestration which is literally a “castration” of the military budget for the next ten years? Putin crapped in his pants when he heard about that defense strategy and the Red Chinese celebrated Chinese New Domination Year, early.

Notice Obie didn’t say anything about a steel worker’s wife being denied medical insurance and thus dying of cancer, nor did he say that his grandmother actually had health insurance and a pension.

Glad Obie also didn’t mention Romney’s dog’s trip in a cage on the top of a car because he was sick. Romney was waiting with the reply, “At least I didn’t eat him”.

I think the oceans just rose another inch due to the amount of crap Obama just dumped into them, as well as the pee that a lot of Democrats had when they pissed in their pants as Obama floundered, lied, obsfucated, dodged, shucked and jived, cursed the Teleprompter, and generally showed the American people that he is a pathological liar, an arrogant mini-me Mussolini, and a total incompetent.

“YES HE DID”.

Chiago schools suck so what does Obama do, he hires the head of the Chicago School System to be the head of the Dept. of Education, along with a sexual wacko as education “czar”.

Notice how O didn’t say that he took $716 million dollar OUT of Medicare, but he put $716 million dollars into Obamacare. Even the deaf heard him screw that one up, and Romney caught him and called him on that.

It was a sharp contrast-—Romney the world-class leader and PFC Obama doing kitchen duty.

Up against Romney’s commanding presence, Obama could only offer platitudes and non-sequiturs. Obama meandered off into some vague gobbledy-gook....with no solid facts at his disposal.

The voting public now has a clear choice.

On my way home from band rehearsal last night I listened to the end of the debate on NPR and their follow up analysis.

It was very clear that they believed Romney won. And yes, I was shocked. They even commented on the tweet by a democratic media pundit along the lines of “Maybe Obama DOES need his teleprompter.”

Frankly, I was amazed they admitted it so fast. Usually when the R wins, that conclusion percolates to the surface so late that nobody is paying attention. Not this time.

That loud “thud” you heard during the debate (about 10;05pm) was Chris “Tingles” Matthews fainting out of his chair because the boy-god was being taken apart by the evil rich white guy....

Romney reminded me of an elder statesman or professor lecturing a stubborn, recalcitrant student. He did very well. Good for him.

I personally thought he wasn’t aggressive enough - too polite, but I guess he realized that FuBO is still popular to a lot of people, so maybe that was the best way to play it.

We’ll see in Round Two. The picture in my mind is FuBO and his handlers squatting around the video, going over every single detail of their boy’s miserable performance and figuring out how to go on the attack.

I predict Obama will come out aggressive, and come of as a punk. When Obama gets mean, I hope Romney laughs in his face. Obama can’t stand that : )

I’ll bet you a hamburger the ratings on the liberal shows will rise just from the sheer numbers of conservatives who want to see them cry...

Starting a stopwatch now to see how long it takes before the first “white racist conspiracy” theory is mentioned, explaining Obama’s lack of performance...

You just KNOW he was boiling inside. He hates the fact that he didn’t get to control the spotlight.

This ain’t the Rose Garden, with a hand-picked group of fawning, brain-dead zombies chanting Hope and Change.

And this time, it isn’t McCain he’s facing. He’s facing a guy who knows how to make money and how to KEEP it.

This is a real-time, no-teleprompter, long hard look at the last three years of this moron’s administration - at least as much of a long hard look as the media will let through.

I hope Romney just keeps it up and hammers him, and is prepared for the “Punk” side to show up.

No teleprompter

No hand-picked audience

No record to run on.

Romney will trounce Obama again. The only question is the voters.
