After viewing Wednesday's presidential debate I continue to strongly disagree with the polls and with the conservative crowd who assume this election is far from over.
The election's been over for a while, only not in favor of the current president, which has been the meme of the mainstream media for months now.
Obama is toast so Mr. Romney, sir, let me be the first to call you in print, "Mr. President." Remember that when you get my application for a communications job in your administration.
Wednesday's debate revealed Obama isn't the greatest orator of modern times as he so arrogantly believes and as many dubbed him. He was defensive, hesitant, ill at ease and spent most of the evening mouthing one lie after another about his record and Romney's proposals.
I wasn't surprised. Obama's the equivalent of a basketball player who has a "sweet spot" on the court where he's virtually unstoppable. The best example is Kareem Abdul Jabbar and his famous "sky hook," the deadliest shot in NBA history. The key to stopping Kareem was to deny him his "sweet spot" before he set up there and launched it.
Obama's "sweet spot" is in front of a teleprompter. When he's there he's the silver-tongued lothario that slickly seduced a nation into electing him president four years ago. But when he's sans teleprompter and forced to speak extemporaneously, he's all "ums" and "ahs," displaying all the rhetorical skills and command of the facts as Mushmouth, the blubbering, slack-jawed simpleton from the cartoon "Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids." Obama just dresses better.
For those still obsessing over the polls, Obama's performance should put some of your fears to rest. However, don't be surprised if Obama's six-billion-point lead over Romney doubles in the polls over the next few days.

Was the writer born yesterday? This is the first step of what is a long journey. I am greatly relieved that Mittens did well, but this is just a single battle. There are many more to come. The democraps have yet to pull out their worst tricks.
There are few things worse we could have than overconfidence.
The pollsters, at some point are going to have to recognize that for there to be a future for them they will need the one thing they are rapidly losing (or already have)-- Credibility.
Continuing to ride the Obama wagon is not going to get them that.
I know it is not over. I trolled on democraticunderground and they are threatening “another shoe is going to drop on Paul Ryan!” This means they are so mad about Obama’s debate failure they are promising hell to pay for the debacle. I am sure the hatemongers are going to cook some half truth to destroy the momentum the Romney side got last night.
Obama keep spouting road philosophical thoughts and concepts. It actually appeared that he really didn't have a firm grasp on the details or facts, he just kept falling back to partisan philosophy hoping that that would carry his argument.
Obama has never had a real job before. He has never had a job that somebody didn't set him up with, and it showed. Obama looked like the dumbest guy in the room who got promoted and who had to rely on everyone else to do the work while he takes credit. And when asked about the details, he really can't answer because he really doesn't know.
Obama is an ideologue who like being president, but who has clearly outsourced the day-to-day work to his staff.

I am reminded of that line from the Untouchables movie, “never stop fighting till the fight is done.” We won one last night - hooray! But liberals are willing to stop at nothing to hold onto power. And we’d better realize this fight is FAR from over, and we do need to fight until the fight is done. Zero’s people would rather see the country descend into civil war rather than lose power. We need to be ready and stay ready for much more bad stuff to come.
I was listening for substance. I wanted to hear one of the candidates say something that indicated they had figured out what was wrong with the economy and how to fix it.
I felt like I had just watched two pigs wallowing in the mud.
I was actually surprised they could debate as well as they did, given that neither candidate has given details. They were making up crap about the other’s plan, and then disputing it.
There was several times I laughed out loud. One was when Obama accused Romney of not having any details. It’s true, Romney doesn’t. But Obama ran the same kind of campaign for his first election. And doesn’t seem to have a plan this time around either.
Another was when they were discussing Obamacare. And Obama standing up there saying it’s the same plan. Well? Yeah.
Still disgusted with both.
Exactly. I also think this is the correct path for Romney’s camp to keep hammering. For example Clean Energy. It’s such a nice sounding soundbite for all the unthinking soccer moms yet it simply cannot stand up to any real critique. The left lives in this fantasy world believing that you can legislate scientific advances and such. They REALLY do believe many falsehoods. SMASH THEM WITH REALITY!

Romney reduced Pres Zer0 into babbling nonsense.
I am confident that during the next 30 days, Romney will continue to bury Berry (grin) under facts and pointing out past performances....
This is the very first time that Pres Zer0 has been challenged on anything. He has always had the way cleared for him thru affirmative actions and fawning sycophants. From an early age, all Zer0 had to do is enter a room, and everybody would symbolically bow down and swoon.
This treatment is over, and Zer0 is bewildered and without response.
Poll sampling will include dead democrat voters.

Spot on. Just because you've knocked your opponent down doesn't mean you shouldn't step on his throat while you gut him. Finish the job.
That Palin speech and Giuliani’s gutting of Obama was so incredibly effective. That theme probably could have won the election if there was no economic crash and a more competent candidate at the top of the ticket.
I know most us are not big Mitt fans, but imagine last night’s performance 4 years ago to address Obama’s empty resume. Imagine that expertise on economic issues to take down Obama’s ridiculous ideology.
I agree we should not at all be overconfident. Obama DOES have 47 percent of the vote no matter what.
But there is a chance that last night will go down in Presidential election history. Never before has a challenger so significantly beat down an incumbent President in a debate.
He beat him on style and substance. For the first time a big part of the country is wondering if Obama really was simply an affirmative action hire that doesn’t have the goods to do the job.
You can’t understate what happened last night. It was historic.
I was really impressed when Romney explained how a vague regulation was causing banks to be gun-shy about issuing mortgage loans. In engineering we call it Root Cause Analysis, and doing it competently is a critical skill to have in order to solve problems. A Dem would only treat the symptom, i.e. force banks to issue more mortgages, which only masks the real problem instead of fixing it. In my experience masking a problem is a Very Bad Thing since it can let problems fester and grow unnoticed until something Really Bad happens.
I don’t know how you can possibly say that. One candidate came up there with all the competence in the world. The other stuck on rhetorical phrases and BS campaign propaganda.
Who would you hire to run a company? Who would you put in a room with a group of people to help mediate a solution?
I am far from a big Mitt fan, but that was the most indisputably one-sided debate I have ever seen in my life. The only that might come close was watching Rubio and Crist two years ago... albeit on a much more important stage.
But you have to remember this is the first time millions of Americans have ever seen or heard Romney close up. And he easily looked more presidential than President Teleprompter. Whatever happens after this debate, millions now know that Romney is more than equal to the occasion...at least in these types of settings. They're seeing that the "great genius" Obama is not much of a genius after all.
