The Barack Obama who stood on the debate stage in Denver Wednesday night was virtually unrecognizable to the person who swept to victory in 2008 or even the man who had built a narrow-but-clear edge in the 2012 race. In the wake of the debate, Democrats conceded that former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney had dominated the proceedings and quickly moved on to a deeper — and harder to answer — question: What the hell was wrong with the president?
Theories abound — up to an including that Obama, who had done debate prep in Las Vegas, struggled to adjust to Denver’s altitude. (Not kidding. That is a theory espoused by none other than former Vice President Al Gore.)
Below we take on a few of the likeliest reasons for Obama’s out-of-character performance — culled from conversations with Democratic strategists and our own observations. * He’s not used to being challenged: For all of the chatter that President Obama loves to surround himself with people willing to disagree with him, the truth of the matter is that being the leader of the free world means that what you say goes pretty much all the time. And, being challenged by staff — no matter how senior those staff might be — is not the same thing as being directly confronted by someone at your level and who wants your job.

In Canada, the party leaders debate each other in Parliament hundreds (or thousands) of times between elections. They hone debating skills to a lethal edge (in two official languages). Also, they really get to know their opponents: their strengths and weaknesses; where their buttons are, and how to push them.

It struck me at one point last night that maybe he just doesn’t want to win.
The job is hard and very time consuming, his staff isn’t all that competent so they can’t do any better than he does. He didn’t really think people would disagree with him and it makes him very angry. The foreign leaders who were supposed to fall down at his feet don’t really like him. His Muslim buddies lie to him and trick him.
He actually has to take the 3:00 am call and make decisions for which he has some accountability. He doesn’t get enough time to hang with his bros, play basketball and golf. While he can throw really nice parties, he can’t throw them often enough. He has to pretend to like white people beyond the Marxist radicals.
From what he can see, Slick has a post presidency life he would enjoy. Let’s let him get on with it.
Many of you have seen the 2007 speech in which then-Senator Obama suggested that because of racism the federal government didn’t waive the Stafford Act to assist New Orleans after Katrina. What you may not know is that 10 days before Senator Obama gave this speech, the federal government did in fact waive the Stafford Act for New Orleans. And to add insult to injury, Barack Obama was one of 14 senators who actually voted against the bill that included the provision to give supplemental emergency assistance to New Orleans. In other words, he was being dishonest and divisive, which is behavior we’ve sadly seen far too often from him in the last four years.
Obama more than met his match......it showed an empty suit who doesn’t have a clue in spite of 4 years in office.
It vividly portrayed a guy who is not only out of his depth but one who still flops around like a fish out of water.
Voters elected a guy with no resume.....Obama still hasn’t a resume...except that of utter failure.

I went to college with a lot of these creeps who were emersed in Communist dogma and read all that drivel to the exclusion of EVERYTHING else. It was really nauseating sitting in on their BS sessions.
None of them made any sense and just regurgitated the crap in their socialist professors spewed and the crap they were all reading.
