Reid misquotes Romney to make immigration attack
The Washington Times ^ | Oct. 4, 2012 | Stephen Dinan

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has become the chief attack dog against his co-religionist Mitt Romney, but on Wednesday that attack went even further when his official Senate office released a statement that attributed a quote to Mr. Romney, even though he said the exact opposite.

Mr. Reid's release quoted the Republican presidential nominee's staff as telling the Boston Globe that Mr. Romney would "not honor deportation exemptions" that President Obama has granted under his new non-deportation policy.

But that phrase doesn't appear in the Globe's article. In fact, the newspaper said Mr. Romney's staff specifically "said he would honor deportation exemptions issued by the Obama administration before his inauguration," though the staffers said a Romney administration wouldn't issue any new exemptions itself.

Mr. Reid's office didn't respond to multiple requests for clarification Wednesday night and Thursday morning, but the version of the release posted online deleted the quote marks around the inaccurate phrase — though it still contains the phrase itself.

Let’s hope Obamagabe puts it in his play book and the MSM builds it up before the next debate.

Mr. Reid's release quoted the Republican presidential nominee's staff as telling the Boston Globe that Mr. Romney would "not honor deportation exemptions" that President Obama has granted under his new non-deportation policy.

So Obama's illegal relatives could be deported IN SPITE of Obama's deportation exemptions. Cry me a river.

This is good news, series-ly.

1. Everyone, including the far left, already knows Reid is a liar. The “someone told me Romney’s paid no taxes” episode put paid to Reid’s credibility, even in the MSM.

2. When someone has to lie that you said “Not X” when you actually, verifiably said “X,” it’s a sign that he’s Got Nothing on you. Reid and the Left are all out of ammo.

Who is feeding these slanderous charges to Harry Reid? It has to be someone on his staff whom he trusts - or someone from the WH has the goods on Harry and is giving him marching orders.

Mitt Romney is a felon? Mitt Romney didn’t pay his taxes? Mitt Romney manipulated his taxes? Mitt Romney sullied his Mormon religion?

Did I forget something?

WHERE IS A REPUBLICAN SENATOR TO RESPOND!?

Here you go. Just say this:

“Harry Reid said something that was not true today. Either he LIED or he is IGNORANT of the facts. He needs to set the record straight. I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt and just call him IGNORANT if he acknowledges his mis-statement. If he stands by this untruth I’ll call him a LIAR.”

That cuffing jack-Mormon Harry Reid is delusional as well as being basically an evil person.

Dyslexia can be SUCH a burden, and combined with cognitive dissonance, works a real number on one’s logic and reasoning capabilities.

Makes a person actually start to hope that Todd Akin can win in Missouri.

How hard is it for the people of Nevada to start a recall petition on Harry Reid?

“WHERE IS A REPUBLICAN SENATOR TO RESPOND!?”

Our Senate Minority Leader McConnell respond to an untrue political attack from the opposition party’s leader? Come on. That would be unseemly and demonstrate a serious lack of respect that could jeopardize the bipartisan harmony he works so hard to sustain.

Perhaps if the Republicans do win the Senate McConnell will just let Reid continue to serve as Majority Leader in the spirit of bipartisanship.

Such a lying old fart..He is so evil he stinks..I have to admit I can say I dispise the criminal..I think it is time someone outs old Reid..

Speaking on the condition of anonymity, a senior level staffer in the office of a Democratic representative today confirmed that an ongoing investigation into the role of Senator Harry Reid (D-NV) in a child sex trafficking operation was abruptly halted two days after President Barack Obama was inaugurated and Eric Holder was confirmed as U.S. Attorney General. The alleged plot, in which Mexican drug lords illegally transported the underage girls from Mexico into the United States in exchange for Reid’s part in “relieving the pressure that the (U.S.) government had previously been exerting on the cartels’ illegal activities” had involved dozens, if not hundreds of young Mexican girls, being sold into the sex trafficking trade. Reportedly, upon arrival in the country, the young women were delivered to a remote warehouse in the Nevada desert. The warehouse property, according to the source, is deeded to Senator Reid. It is unclear the role that Senator Reid played in the activity, but according to the source, after the girls were delivered to the warehouse, the Mexican cartel had no further involvement in the scheme.

Reid is a fellow Mormon—I don’t know why the church hasn’t sent him packing.

In a ‘poetic justice’ sort of way - Reid’s maniacal attacks help demonstrate - there are Mormons and then there are Mormons; much like the rest of society. They are not monolithic, marching in lock-step.

So we can deduce that Mitt Romney is a quiet Mormon and Reid is a Moron Morman.
