Normally politics aren’t discussed at my workplace, but I overheard one co-worker (an obama supporter apparently) claim that obama wants to cut taxes and romney wants to raise them. And a second co-worker agreed with him!

Idiots.

Since only half the population pays taxes, its more like 6000 per person.

It would probably be safe to round off to $10,000.

Gee, I’m glad I didn’t put this in ‘BREAKING’. FR gives me the boot whenever I do that. I see someone else got away with it, however.

That’s when you strategically leave articles around the office, such as all of Obama’s tax increases that take place after the first of the year, this article, etc.

What will happen when Paul Ryan destroys Joe Biden next week in the VP debate?

Seriously has Joe Biden ever had a real debate aside from the one with Sarah?

He’s toast.

Sorry I posted this after it was already posted twice. It wasn’t when I started typing! Great minds think alike! (or is it: fools seldom differ?)

So the Bush one trillion dollar tax cut which inckuded reduced tax rates for middle class individuals is that what he is talking about not renewing the tax cuts if so rates will go up on all incomes so they are the ones who are raising taxes on the middle class.

Let’s not get too overconfident.. You know how that goes. I think Biden will get downright angry during the debate though and flame himself like a Zero going down into the Pacific during WWII. He’ll literally go down as ‘a senile angry old man’ and Ryan will appear confident as always but gracious.

Interesting piece of vid - usual class warfare nonsense that if "The Rich" would cough up their "fair share" all this economic chaos would get solved like magic. The spookiest part of the video is that people are applauding his idiocy.

That’s what Romney did best last night; Drive home the fact that punishing business owners kills job creation. I wish he would’ve included Obamacare’s 21 new taxes in that segment but there’s only so much time. Even I was impressed how ‘on his game’ Romney was. Our prayers were answered.. Thank you, God!

Romney was pelting him with facts, figures and policy - dummy was just standing there nodding his head, looking around and tossing out one-liners from stale campaign speeches. All this yap about Obomba making any comeback in the next debate is a bunch of nonsense. "Come back" with WHAT? Our properties overseas have been overrun and vandalized, some of which was burned to the ground, our people killed and the Middle East along with parts of Southwest Asia is in chaos. Yeah, I'd like to see his official explanation for all that.

WOW this guy is literally the gift that keeps on giving. Ryan is going to bury this fool next week. A stray cat could beat that moron in a debate

No. I can guarantee it will NOT be $3000 a person.

Some will pay a lot, some a little, and a terrifying number none at all (at least directly).

Of course people are applauding. That's why this kind of thing works. Biden is acknowledging there is a problem, and that it is a serious one (such a thing is so obviously true he cannot realistically say otherwise) but he reassures his followers that it is "someone else's fault". That gets people out of feeling guilty, which people like a lot. It further follows that "someone else" has the responsibility of fixing the problem. That gets people out of having to do anything. All in all, a very attractive message. It taps directly into envy, greed and sloth, all of which the average Human Being has in considerable abundance.

The truth is that the current economic problem is of such a scale that even if this mythical bunch of wealth-hoarding "others" existed taking all of their money wouldn't cover the yearly deficit, never mind touch the existing debt. We are all of us going to take a lot of pain before this all works out (if it ever does).

Exactly! When they played the soundbite on Fox yesterday, Charles Krauthammer said “How much are we paying this guy? Whatever it is, it’s not enough” Haha, I loved it!
