“and I don’t care who did it. If it was the real Mitt Romney or if it was Mitt Romney spirit possessed by John Wayne, it was a long-overdue ass kicking.”

You know, that sounds to me like we need to start a new column called Mitt Romney facts, sort of like Chuck Norris facts, only a little different.

The panel looks like Polly Bergen, Dick Clark, Kitty Carlisle and Gary Moore, used to watch it laaaate at night with my mother months ago on the gameshow channel, not on currently.

More like, he figured his talking points against McCain would work against ROmney, only problem is, Romney is a whole lot more energetic, healthy, and capable than McCain is or was, ooops! On the other hand, Romney was a long-term businessman, and like it or not, competitive businessmen read people like Sherlock Holmes reads evidence in a case, I wouldn’t be surprised if Romney admitted to listening and watching just about every speech Obama gave just to analyze him and measure him up, because it sure appeared that way. In fact, he seemed, no, HE KNEW, more than Obama about his own policies during that debate.

I once ascended to the summit of Lassen Peak, which stands at 10,462 ft elevation - nearly two miles above sea level. That did not make me or any of the dozens of other hikers stupid either.

"Obama argued the "spirited fellow" he met on stage at the first presidential debate the night before wasn't "the real Mitt Romney.""

Like the spirited fellow he spent 20+ years listening to at, er, "church" wasn't the real Rev Wright...

"God D*** America, U.S. to Blame for 9/11"
--Rev Dr. Jeremiah Wright, Obama's pastor for twenty years

From the Chicago Sun Times, November 13, 2008:

Ayers: Obama was 'family friend'
New afterword to 2001 book, Ayers describes Barack Obama as 'family friend'

http://www.suntimes.com/news/politics/obama/1278532,bill-ayers-barack-obama-book-111308.article#
_____________________________________________________

"It was at the Chicago home of [Bill] Ayers and [Bernardine] Dohrn that Obama, then an up-and-coming 'community organizer,' had his political coming out party in 1995. Not content with this rite of passage in Lefty World — where unrepentant terrorists are regarded as progressive luminaries, still working 'only to educate' — both Obamas tended to the relationship with the Ayers."

From American Thinker, September 16, 2008
Article: Obama's Foul Weather Friends
By Scott Swett and Roger Canfield

"As a gesture of solidarity, the Vietnamese who [Bernardine] Dohrn met in Budapest presented her with a ring made from an American aircraft shot down over North Vietnam. Bill Ayers would receive a similar ring while meeting with Vietnamese communists in Toronto. He later recalled being so moved by the gesture that he 'left the room to cry.' "

I was thinking the other day... I doubt Obama has ever sacrificially given even once in his lifetime of either his own time and money. It seems to always be on our dime and for his public relations.

I’d be gobsmacked if anyone came forth and told of a behind the scenes Obama kindness like we heard about Romney at the convention. It says something about his character, no? Isn’t that who we truly are — what we do when no one is looking?

I hate thinking this about the leader of our country. This selfishness is very unAmerican.

True. I think it was the droopy, drug-addled, bored-with-the-job-and-wishing-he-were-golfing-or-partying, I-don’t-have-a-long-enough-attention-span-to-do-debate-prep, I’m-entitled-to-the-job-because-of-AA version on display on Wednesday.

He can’t have believed that (well, actually there’s no telling what he might believe!) because in 2008 he was running against Bush. Now he actually has a record of his own that he has to run FROM.

From a Friday morning perspective, right-wing Republicans might want to try to comprehend just what the president is saying here ...

Thanks tina07.

I remember Bill Cullen as a game show host despite his limp. I remember Henry Morgan but like many game show stars I never saw him except as a panelist.

I remember Johnny Carson as a host on “Who do you trust” always saying when a pressure question was put to a contestant, “...and no help from the studio audience please”.
