>>But is Obama worried? Not for a second.
He has never wanted the job, only the perqs and the attention.
We’ll be paying his pension for life and someone is already buying him a $35 million mansion in Hawaii. He will continue to be famous and worshipped.
...unless we put him in jail. That would be so sweet. I can dream, can’t I?

not mention Romneys taped remarks about writing off 47 percent
Because that would have allowed Romney to put it into it's proper context and fully explain what he was talking about and ultimately destroy that Dem talking point.

Can they be talked out of what they saw? Chris Matthews and the rest of Obama's media and civilian army are counting on it.

No, I think he didn’t bring up the 47 percent comments because he doesn’t want to give Romney a chance to expand on those thoughts or clarify that position. I’m sure it was deliberate. Obama is running ads on that constantly, so he doesn’t want to get an alternative viewpoint out there that might give the comments some credibility.

Good point. Hope Romney is well prepared to respond to the 47% comment as well as several of the ads being run by Obama. Even my wife thinks the new Obama ad where he lays out his plans is effective. Never mind the fact that he's already had almost 4 years to implement everything, two of those years with a super majority. Mitt needs to run ads directly responding to Obama’s false Medicare claims (very effective and strongly touted by AARP) and deficit reduction. In addition, someone needs to wake up Americans to the risk of rate sensitivity. A modest change in interest rates would blow the budget (if we had one) to pieces and cut funding pretty much across the board. Of course the only way to counter without risking political capital would be to print more money and risk inflation. Oh, excuse me, seems we're already there and even without rising rates. Gee, I wonder what happens when the world competes for capital?

Republicans and conservatives alike were cheeringThanks for the distinction. I certainly no longer want to be classified as a republican.
I'm with you on that. This is why I no longer use the term "RINO", because it is misleading. The fact is, guys like Romney are republicans and what the party supports. They just aren't conservative. CINO is more appropriate a label for the party hacks.
