SALINAS, Calif. -- A suspected robber is dead and another critically wounded after being shot by a good samaritan who intervened during a robbery Thursday.
Salinas Police say the two suspects entered a business on the 1500 block of North Sanborn Road to commit an armed robbery. There were several people inside the business at the time. Police say the suspects demanded money from the patrons and the business owner, while holding the victims at gunpoint.
Police say while this was happening, a good samaritan associated with one of the victims inside the business retrieved a gun from his vehicle and went to help the victims inside the business. That's when, police say, the good samaritan shot both suspects. The suspects fled the business and were eventually driven to a local hospital for treatment.

GOOD!
50 years ago Salinas was such a neat little place. Ah, the benefits of demographic shifts and changes.
If Obama had a son he’d look just like that dead gangbanger.
And he was just beginning to get his life turned around.
Too bad this good Samaritan wasn’t catching a movie in Aurora, Colorado a while back.
Twenty will get you fifty that both crooks are illegals.
I’ll second that.
GOOD!
More reason to push Right to Self Defense nationwide
Nothing more positive than two criminals shot while comitting a crime....when they are dead, even better
Hopefully, CA does not try to Zimmerman the shooter of the criminals
Since this was in California, I wonder how much trouble the good samaritan is in?
Not ALL of CA is Hollywood or San Fran.
Repeat
Not ALL of CA is Hollywood or San Fran.
Keep repeating till ya get it...
Thanks! ;)
A robber’s life is not a happy one, and it does not lead to advancement.
But all of California is California.
I grew up in Salinas, you couldn’t pay me to live there let alone visit the few remaining family members.
“But all of California is California.”
Except for the parts that are Mexico.
Unless you use the government to do your robbing.
LOL, very true.
And I suppose Sacramento is more like Soviet-era Moscow or Havana.
I am surprised and pleased to see KION calling a good Samaritan a good Samaritan.
Most never will. California-bashing is a popular sport that diverts their attention while California-type problems sneak up behind them in their own states.
