BIG NEWS FOR TONIGHT:

CARAVAN LED BY CAMPAIGN BUSES WILL LEAD HUNDREDS FROM BRIGHTON RALLY TO ROCHESTER HILLS PAUL RYAN RALLY

Today will be a huge day for supporters of the Romney/Ryan ticket in southeastern Michigan.

Tonight at 5:00 PM supporters will gather at Brighton's Millpond Park for a "Rebuild America - Defeat Obama" rally featuring speeches and patriotic musical performances. (Website:  www.RebuildAmericaTour.org)

Then around 6:30 PM supporters will caravan to Rochester Hills for rally featuring Congressman Paul Ryan and musical legend, Kid Rock.  The caravan will be led by the two "Rebuild America - Defeat Obama" buses that feature Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan.

"Michigan is a very competitive state right now, despite the fact that Barack Obama's campaign has taken the state for granted.  We've seen polling numbers that show the race is neck-and-neck following last week's debate, and we're determined to help push the Romney/Ryan ticket to victory in Michigan," declared Lloyd Marcus, Chairman of The Campaign to Defeat Barack Obama.

To date, The Campaign to Defeat Barack Obama PAC has spent nearly $800,000 on ads opposing Barack Obama's re-election.

Schedule for rallies in Southeastern Michigan:

They should not be wasting their time in the BLUE state of Michigan.

They should be in OH, FL, VA...

I think both Michigan and Wisconsin are viable pickup states this election. And if Romney/Ryan wins these states, then they can deny Obama any path to winning re-election!

Sometimes I think you election season posters are brain damaged but then I remember that you’re election season posters and are unaware of anything going on around you any other time.

Great news. Michigan is in play and we’ll also be hoping for bad weather in Detroit.

The 2010 GOP wave was greater in Michigan than anywhere else in the nation. We ran the table on the democrats and they didn’t pick up a single seat above the county level. Everything from the Governor down to most of our county commissioners are GOP now.

I suspect they’ll be a bit more reluctant to commit fraud in Detroit this time around. Ruth Johnson has shown them that she will pursue it to the fullest of her abilities.

"They should not be wasting their time in the BLUE state of Michigan."

I strongly disagree because I think Michigan is very close right now. Agree about the other states, but there's momentum that is pushing some blue states near even.

On top of that, I don't believe ANY of the polls. Please be sure to vote, no matter where you are.

Yeah, he’s a bit young to call him a legend at this point but he loves Michigan and America.

Hey CC...any chance you’re showing up in Brighton today? Just curious. I’m going to try to leave work a tad early and make it by 5PM.

At this point I’m not sure what it is that makes us a “blue” state aside from perception. After all, the state government is firmly in GOP hands and the majority of our Representatives in the US house are republican.
