Mitt Romneys commanding performance on the debate stage last week has generated a significant bounce for his presidential candidacy, according to national polls released Monday.
The Republican nominee opened up a 4-point lead over President Obama, 49% to 45% among likely voters, in the latest national opinion survey by the independent Pew Research Center. In mid-September, Obama led by 8 points, 51% to 43%.
Post-debate interviews with 1,201 voters found that the debate had lifted Romneys standing among a wide range of voter groups. His overall personal image improved, with the percentage of voters holding a favorable opinion of the Republican nominee up 5 points since last month.

THIS IS HUGH.. That had to really hurt.. HA!
I’m becoming more impressed with Romney. Now I’m anxious for the vice-presidential debate! I have a feeling that Ryan will clean Biden’s clock—but ya never know———
My unscientific opinion - even if Obama ‘wins’ the next two debates, I don’t think these people will swing back. I think they were checking out Romney as an alternative to someone they would prefer not to support and they liked what they saw.
1) The Romney debate bounce is undeniable as the major contributor, but....
2) I wonder if the pollsters also now realize this and are reporting/conducting the polls in a more honest fashion?
I tend to believe his "true" bounce was not quite this dramatic.
Plugs is not affirmative action, so, he will at least study the questions that have already been given to him. But, he does think he is mr. moovin’ n’ groovin’, so, he might just try too hard to be mr. cool cat. It will be interesting.
The Maim Stream Media never reported about the real Obama and demonized Romney. Now they are looking like empty suits too with their Messiah Obombgong.
Hugh and Series!!!
I agree my dear FRiend, I’m sitting on egg shells.. LOL
It’s not a bounce. It’s momentum gaining strength as it rolls along. The time to put a stake in the Kenyan’s heart is NOW. States that have not voted GOP for President since 1988 and 1984 are going to slip from the Kenyan’s grasp. The time to make all this happen is now. It's so nice to see you, FRiend. :)
Nice.
Obama’s campaign is in a death spiral.
29 more days until I get to see Obama and his tribe cry their eyes out.
The one thing we know won’t happen with Biden - he isn’t going to passively stand their, tongue tied.
Hey girl.. Been restin up for a little wop a$$ to kick the commies out.. HA!
