Posted on 10/09/2012 3:39:26 AM PDT by sunmars
Watch this......you know the moment a campaign falls into ridicule of itself and you can't take them seriously ever again. Journo's falling over laughing this morning, calling it the "jump the shark moment"
No mention of criminal Jon Corzine... the ad looks like a SNL spoof
Bump for when I get home.
Hard hitting, factual, and pointed criticism it is water off the bird’s back.
Sad, so sad. And yet, with all the corruption Holder has not had ONE prosecution of Wall street so far. Clinton, 1500. W., 1340.
Hilarious...campaigning on Big Bird, i’m dying laughing.
I thought I saw Fonzie hiding behind Big Bird...
The worst thing for a Narcissist Punk is humiliation. And Romney humiliated the punk for the entire world to see. He is raging and seething inside with anger and he is desperate to try to mock and humiliate Romney back. And yet when he does with ads like this, the American public just gets another reinforcing optic of what an arrogant, snotty little boy he is. Game over punk.
Funny but but don’t think it’s official.
Someone needs to do a song parody where Obama, Pelosi and Reed sing Oscar the Grouch’s, “I Love Trash”!
Use the Occupy Wall Street crowd as background, or, maybe Solyndra or MF Global?
There is your Sesame Street themed add.
If anyone cares to run with this, Please Do!
Where did you get the link for it? Apparently it’s one of those unlisted vids that you specifically need the link for, but it says it was uploaded by the campaign lolol
its all over twitter, bloggers and journo’s laughing their heads off.
Stupid and irrelevant.
“Stupid and irrelevant.”
John Stewart spent most of his show last night attacking Romney over “Big Bird”.
The media smells blood with this. It might not work this time, but the chance to ridicule Romney over this is too much for the haters to pass up.
Check out the message above the video:
“This video is unlisted. Only those with the link can see it.”
Where’d they find the link?
who knows, i guess someone leaked it but the hilarity among bloggers, incredulous at the bottomless pit of stupidity of the Obama campaign.
Big Bird may have earned more money than all of the ‘99%’. He has no need of welfare.
He can fend for himself in the marketplace.
Romney is talking about Libya and Obama is talking about Sesame Street. Priceless.
Lol. From rising waters and this is the moment to this.
About the most stupid ad I ever saw. It doesn’t mention Obama’s friends, Bill Ayres, Tony Rezco, George Soros, Jeremiah Wright, the Black Panthers ,Hugo Chavez etc, etc, etc.
Corzine is a lib. They left him out on purpose.
Big Bird may have earned more money than all of the 99%. Somebody ought to figure out how much in Royalties he owes the US taxpayers for the free venue.
I suspect it was meant as a spoof, and available only to the people that are in on the joke. But, if the URL goes viral, the only people that are going to consider it serious are the moonbats. Everyone else is just going to think it's lame.
‘Jumping the shark’ bump.
Thanks for posting this. I just saw that Jonah Goldberg tweeted about this, but I don’t really get twitter so I didn’t know how to see it from there.
It is.....really stupid.
My 26 year old did tell me that this was all her lib friends were talking about after the debate, so I can see them wanting to maybe goof on Romney for it, a little bit.
But this is just, um, really stupid.
Dragging in all those Wall Street crooks (and yeah, where is my former Gov. Jon Corzine?) just doesn’t make any sense at all. And if anyone has given TAXPAYER money to corporate crooks, it’s certainly been Barack “Solyndra” Obama, not, you know Mitt Romney or even Boogeyman Bush.
This is probably the stupidest political ad I’ve ever seen.
I hope they it on national TV.
Though I don’t agree with the thought processes behind it, it is a funny ad.
Let them laugh while they can.
Oh, it’s an official ad according to Morning Joe.
I think it has to be official. If not, with that intro by Obama, youtube will take it down soon.
Ridicule is a great weapon, but this is just childish and is neither clever or funny.
Said last week that he would milk Big Bird for all he was worth aka diversion from Libya.
The only thing better would be big bird sitting in a chair.
But I'm not holding my breath.
hoping it’s official - love to see them wasting donation
Would love to see Obama at a podium and Big Bird in a chair.
Big Bird is a billionaire who understands capitalism better than Obama.
told ya ridicule....
Are you sure it’s real?
When I’ve watched Seasame Street with my kids, before we turned it off, I saw a lot of trusts like the Pew Charitable Trust and, I think, Rockefeller. It is funded by a lot of charities. If the 10% from taxpayers was cut, they could cut expenses, get more donations from these behemoth trusts, or license a few more toys and household items. The show won’t go off the air.
high ridicule and side splitting laughter, Obama’s campaign officially just did jump that shark.
Watched again and this time with my earphones on at the beginning. Approved by obama! What a dolt.
“with ads like this, the American public just gets another reinforcing optic of what an arrogant, snotty little boy he is”
This pack of punks is arrogant - all of them! They had the gall to call out Romney for not “fielding questions” from children on topics such as queer “marriage.” Do they actually think that kind of thing sets well with most parents? They’re deranged.
IMHO, this is the kind of material one puts together with the remaining staff still on hand while all of the others are stampeding over each other to get into the bunker...
Since The Debate Obama Has Mentioned Big Bird 8 Times, Elmo 5 Times, Libya 0 Times & Plans To Fix The Economy 0 Times
It can’t be real.....
Obama/Big Bird, 2012
Big Bird would look good on a nice bed of rice, surrounded by evil greedy rich Republican warmongers with their forks & knives ready to dig in.
This message is brought to you by the letter “R”.
Not this particular ad, but the underlying lack of acknowledgment that Obama has been in charge for 4 long years.
In our area, the most prevalent ad by Romney is the one where he says Obama isn't standing up to China. It's effective, but hardly the primary issue in most voter's minds.
Obama came out with an ad in response that attacks Romney's record on China.
But the distinction that needs to be made, and this applies regarding a lot of Obama’s attacks on Romney, is Romney, like other businessmen, is operating - has to operate, in the environment created by government.
By contrast, Obama is responsible for that environment.
I'm not sure how to articulate this better, but people seem to respond well when hypocrisy is pointed out. Well attacking a businessman for making the most, legally, out of a body of rules and laws you and your party largely created, is the ultimate in hypocrisy.
By contrast, Obama is painting Romney as hypocritical for operating in an environment that he had little part in creating (at least outside of Taxachusets), and pointing out the system is broken even though a businessman in this environment has a front row seat to the carnage.
