ANN ARBOR, MI – During a Pentagon press conference on May 10, 2012, General Martin Dempsey, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, publicly excoriated Lieutenant Colonel (LTC) Matthew Dooley, a 1994 graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and a highly decorated combat veteran. His reason: The course on Islamic Radicalism which LTC Dooley was teaching at the Joint Forces Staff College (JFSC) of the National Defense University was offensive to Muslims.
General Dempsey characterized LTC Dooley’s course as "totally objectionable," and ordered all material offensive to Islam scrubbed from military professional education within the JFSC and elsewhere. But that’s not all. LTC Dooley was fired from his instructor position and given an ordered negative Officer Evaluation Report (OER) — the death-knell for a military career.
The actions against LTC Dooley follow a letter to the Department of Defense dated October 19, 2011 signed by 57 Muslim organizations demanding that all training materials offensive to Islam and Muslims be purged and the trainers disciplined.
A review of LTC Dooley’s OERs going back several years, including his OER as an instructor with JFSC, paint a picture of an outstanding officer with unlimited potential:

he is teaching a course... didn’t it have to be approved by someone? didn’t the materials have to be approved? did he write the course and materials himself and take it upon himself to offer this course without anyone’s permission? doesn’t seem likely...

During Dempsey’s last physical, the Doctor noted that Dempsey had no backbone, just a hole where someone could put their hand to make the puppet’s mouth move. Yeah, bowing down to the Democrats always works so well for the military.

All course material must be approved by the Command/Commandant. I can't imagine why LTC Dooley is the only one that went down here. Where is the Commandant and the Dean on this issue?
There has got to be more to the story like maybe failure to obey an order or something after LTC Dooley was told to change certain material.
Don't get me wrong. I fully support LTC Dooley's right to his opinion but something smells here.

I agree about General Dempsey. What a worthless officer. And also reinstate this fine Lt Colonel and go forward with his training. So what if the moslems are offended! I am tired of their bombings and killings!

I have but one question. If this Dempsey is the highest ranking Officer in the military could he not go in front of a military tribunal, tried, found guilty of endangering the lives of American citizens of his over the top PC, stripped of his rank, court martialed and either hung or sentence to life in prison????
Sounds like a just reward to me. Firing is way to light a sentence in my book for this POS.
