Candidates, parties, super PACs ... now even private citizens are promoting their own agendas in political advertisements. Billionaire Thomas Peterffy is perhaps best known as the founder of electronic stock trading firm Interactive Brokers, but the Hungarian-born American entrepreneur also grew up in the shadow of socialism and is not excited about what he sees happening here in the U.S. On Wednesday he began airing his own, privately financed one-minute ad addressing his concerns about the U.S. election and urging viewers to vote Republican. "I grew up in a socialist country and I have seen what that does to people," Peterffy, who is believed to be worth as much as $5 billion, says in the ad. "There is no hope, no freedom, no pride in achievement.

Btt
Great commercial, he plans to spend $5 - 10 Million in swing states between now and election day.
I’d like to see this Hungarian billionaire beat the sh** out of the other, leftist Hungarian billionaire
Thanks for this thread. Always like to read about those “who built that.”
BTW, since we all use the same “roads and bridges,” is it really “fair” that we are all not “equal?”
Well, except for Federal Politicians, as they are ALWAYS more equal than the common voter.
Soros is Hungarian?
This is no different than Trump throwing in his $.02; they have every right to do so. The millionaires of the Democratic Party don’t mind letting us know their take on things, and I don’t remember any complaints about wealth when John Kerry ran for president.
While Americans can assume they’ll be screwed in any case, we do have a choice as to how it is done; Romney wins by a mile in that contest.
Thanks for the post. Good find.
Thanks for posting this. I’m grateful to learn of this man’s efforts to help us preserve what made this a great nation.
Interestingly, I received in an e-mail today a similar comment from a Mexican fellow. His comments are erudite and directly to the point. the 4 minute video is here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=wM0dX3x1TQ0

Have a friend who is a German-born Hungarian - -
Lived in C.slovakia a short while and had Communist teachers.
Was educated partly in Switzerland.
Saw planes fall out of the sky in WWII.
Her well-off father offered to take to the US every last line of their family. They couldn’t wait - ‘Land Of The Free!’
Some went to S. America.
You guessed it:
She’s a Democrat - - - after all that struggle - - -
Send her this - refresh her memory!
‘Send her this’
Oh that I could!
She doesn’t get to her computer anymore.
She’s in the 3rd year of a non-malignant, inoperable brain tumor larger than a golf ball - does not show. Near her forehead.
She has all motor functions, can converse with a fairly good memory, and then something half-way nutty comes out of left field.
And she’ll go on and on for a while about that ‘left field’ subject.
Sad, really. She’s had 24 hour care all this time, but in her own home.
OH! Sad, indeed. I wasn’t expecting to read anything like that.
Ping to a great ad.
Wow, fantastic ad — I sooo appreciate your ping!!!
Great Link! Thanks!
