Empty Set Chair: Obama Backer Beyoncé Bows Out of Eastwood Film

Beyoncé is one of the biggest stars in the country, a beautiful singer at the top of her profession.

She isn't an A-list movie star... yet.

Her work in the celebrated "Dreamgirls" didn't make that happen, nor did appearances in "The Pink Panther," "Obsessed" or "Austin Powers in Goldmember."

Clint Eastwood could have changed all that. The actor/director wanted Beyoncé to star in his planned remake of "A Star Is Born." Any Eastwood project is instantly Oscar bait, and his track record suggests he could have transformed the stunning chanteuse into an A-lister with just one film.

Now, we'll never know.

Beyoncé has backed out of the Eastwood production, citing the proverbial scheduling issues. It's certainly possible, but what star wouldn't clear his or her schedule to secure such a plum role?

Elvis Presley was offered Kris Krisstofferson’s part but the Colonel Parker intervened. He demanded Elvis get top billing. That sunk the deal. Probably would have been good in it. elvis was also offered Glen Campbell’s role in “True Grit”. Same demands for top billing over John Wayne. Same result. Anyway, Clint probably offered Beyonce the role to see if she would take the bait and work for a conservative. Decisions are made and lived with. She can remain a B-list personality.

Forget Jennifer Hudson. This kid from Chicago, who came from a drug-selling family on the South Side of Chicago, whose mother and minor age brother were killed in a rage by the drug thug husband of Jennifer's sister. Oboma just recently thanked Hudson for her continous, professional contributions to his fundraisers by appearing at same...she's another oboma kiss-azz follower/contributor.
Clint should consider someone else for the part, and if he's shooting for a woman of color to fill the role, why not Miss Dash, the young black actress who spoke out FOR Mitt Romney?

Etta is a republican and was offended that Beyonce sang her song. She very vocal about it.
