Obama: 'Joe just needs to be Joe'

President Obama, asked by ABC's Diane Sawyer if he had a message for Vice President Joe Biden ahead of Thursday's debate, had a short answer.
"I think Joe just needs to be Joe," he said.
After Obama's lackluster debate performance last week, the pressure is on the vice president to reset the race. He will face off against GOP nominee Paul Ryan at Centre College in Danville, Ky., at 9 p.m. Eastern.
Earlier this week, Obama said he expects Biden will be "terrific," and he suggested that the debate will give his campaign a chance to make up for the ground lost since last week.
"So people just have to make sure that they stay focused and I guarantee you, we’ve got, you know, Biden I think will be terrific in the debate this week," he said in an interview with Tom Joyner.

Yeah, let Joe just be Joe... and continue to prove what an incompetent buffoon he is.
Biden has been a slacker in D.C. for fourty years he has nothing of worth to say.
Except when Joe needs to be Neil Kinnock.
gosh, they’ve talked more about this second debate than their economic record/plan and Libya combined. Oh well, guess keeping their job is more important.

Don’t underestimate Biden. He been in politics a LONG time. He is a highly aggressive, effective liar who knows the Moderator will do everything they can to protect him. It is very tough to win a debate with a jerk like Biden who simply makes crap up as he goes and who has the moderator flying cover for him.
I think the best we can hope for is a tie.
I concur. Joe Biden is so consistently stupid that he should say something incredibly absurd within the first 15 minutes.
There's a reason that zero keeps Biden behind the scenes and out of the public eye as much as possible. That reason will be on display on national TV tonight!!
I hope Joe is Joe so all Ryan has to say is, “I give my time to him. Go Joe.”, and watch Joe say the dumbest things.

No matter what happens tonight, Axelrod, Plouffe, et. al. will be running to the microphones as soon as it is over declaring a big, big victory. The MSM may join in depending on whether Biden holds his own or is roundly defeated. There is no way they will declare Ryan the victor.

Agreed. With the help of the complicit media, Biden typically pulls off these debates.
I'll worry about sleeping after Nov 7th, then sleep like a baby knowing two Grown ups will be President & VP.
