I’ve gotten two polling calls in the last two days. I’m guessing they think Pennsylvania is close. In tonight’s poll, I was a young black female Muslim who is disappointed in how Obama is running the economy.

I always tell them I'm going to vote for the one that is not a communist.

It is the truth.

Be polite and answer truthfully, and if you get the chance, ask them what they think about Obama and Romney.

Sometimes these polling outfits hire regular folk at minimum wage.

If they say they can't answer you that means that their bosses might be listening in on the conversation.

If you are thoughtful and polite you just might be talking to someone who has never really talked to a true blue conservative before. Be a good example.

Maybe I’m cynical, but I figure they’ll get the results that they want, and if you say anything else, they’ll just ignore it.

So, I obey my instincts, and just hang up on them.

Oddly enough, I’ve gotten a number of calls here in Vermont, a state which I would hardly think is in play. And campaign calls from Bernie Sanders and Mitt Romney. I just hang up on them all, I’m afraid.

My husband was polled last night (WI). He told them that he was a conservative independent who couldn’t remember whom he voted for in 2008 but that he was certain that he would vote for Romney in 2012. He did tell them his birth year.

He also got into a spat with the pollster who was a black male. The man asked wHEN my husband would vote and my husband wouldn’t tell him. Finally he said “early”. But he told the pollster that it was none of his business to ask when my husband would vote, and he explained that if my husband said that he’d vote “after work” that somebody could come in ahead of him and vote in his place.

The truth of the matter is that both of us have already voted. But, with a heavy turn out expected, it is not likely that our absentee votes will be tabulated until late in the day, or even after the polls close. That would leave our votes vulnerable to fraudsters all day long.

Upon reflection, that is a really odd question for a pollster to ask.

I told one poller that I was independent and voting for Romney. In truth, I’d be Tea Party if it was a formal political party. Too many Republican leaders are too far left.

If you want to cause them maximum pain, answer the phone, say hello and when the first question comes say you refuse to cooperate. Hang up.

There is no way for them correct for bias in samples that return null information. It absolutely kills their claim of accuracy.

Either decline to participate or fall back on what your Mom and Dad should have explained to you about honesty.

This shouldn’t be a hard question.

You would be an instant hit if you would publish a list of who polled you,why they chose you, and what they asked.
