OSLO — The Norwegian Nobel Committee awarded its 2012 peace prize on Friday to the European Union, saying it had contributed to the advancement of peace and reconciliation across the continent.
With the body wrestling with the most severe financial crisis in its history over the single euro currency, the award surprised some people.
The announcement came against a global backdrop of conflict, with civil war in Syria threatening to spill across the region, the Afghanistan war grinding into a second decade and earlier hopes of a new era of tranquillity in the Middle East largely abandoned.

The Nobel committee has lost its mind. Why not award it to orange juice for providing vitamin c and a nutritious breakfast next? The EU is not a person. It’s an artificial construct, and one that appears to be dying on top of that. This is worse than awarding it to BHO shortly after his inauguration. Has he contributed to world peace somewhere yet? He only has a few more weeks. Nuts!

Well it is the same Nobel prize committe who awarded President Barack Hussein Obama a few years back. I think also they awarded Yaser Arrafat also.
The only time it ever really did good, and this is how I first learened about her, was when the peace prize went to Blessed Mother Teressa of Calcuttia.

They also awarded MLK a prize. Generally, they are out of touch with reality. The exception of Mother Teresa and Martin Luther King Jr. merely prove the rule.
Considering many of the EU’s members are bankrupt, it makes sense to give the prize to them and more importantly the monetary compensation that goes along with it.

Anyway, the one world order conspiracy theorists aren’t going to like this one.

The European Union is built on a socialist, redistribute-the-wealth basis and was and is historically doomed to collapse all by itself....it didn't need Lehman Brothers to give it the mortal shove it's now experiencing.
This "EU" is what Obama and his evil crew are building in this country on a state rather than country basis. The EU is destroying the sovereignty of its countries for a total centralized dictatorship.....just as Obama's ilk will try to destroy what's left of states' rights in our federation toward the goal of a federal dictatorship here. The income redistribution is already well along its way.
So I won't hold my breath that our plotting and traitorous president will rise to his country's defense after digesting this nasty slap in the face from the Euros.
Remember, the UN has announced it's goal to levy a tax on the citizens of the "have" countries to support the citizens of the "have not" countries as soon as possible.
It is now SO clear why the redistributist globalist, Barack Obama, was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for accomplishing nothing but outlining his socialist economic and cultural goals both before and shortly after his immaculation.

I guess Nobel is just as Free Trade Communist Globalist as the EU is. Maybe they can practice some “Austerity” and not give the EU the prize money....
