86 arrested in US consulate attack in Chennai: Police

Chennai: Eighty-six people were arrested on Friday after a group of several hundred Muslim protesters threw stones and smashed windows at the US consulate in the Indian city of Chennai, police said.

"They smashed the window panes, surveillance camera and tried to scale over the compound wall, but we dispersed them while exercising restraint," a senior police officer said on condition of anonymity. "We made 86 arrests."

The violence flared during a protest organised by the Tamil Nadu Muslim Munnetra Kazhagam, an Islamist movement, against an anti-Islam film which has triggered similar protests in large parts of the Muslim world.

The protesters also burnt an effigy of US President Barack Obama and an American flag, police said.

One group hurled stones, while others lifted iron barricades placed in front of the main gate to smash windows, police said.

"We have tightened the security and the situation is well under control," JK Tripathy, the police commissioner in the southern city, told local reporters.

One of the organisers said that what had been planned as a peaceful protest was hijacked by militants.

The ‘film’? The 5 minute trailer to the film? Maybe Obama and Biden paid them to protest - keeps the illusion of their lie going.

A quick Google search has a number of South Asian papers and news services (Times of India) reporting this...however I cannot find any US or European reports

I believe the story is legit...and...why is US media still silent?

I was in Chennai last month. What a sh*thole, no different from the rest of India. Unbelievable poverty prevails.

Chennai is a city in India. The Muzzies there are a minority and spread amongst the population.

If anyone thinks America can launch air strikes at an Indian city and not expect to trigger WW-3, I’d like to try some of whatever they are smoking.

Sounds like the muzzies in Chennai, like everywhere else in India, have a murderous influence out of all proportion to their minority status.

But if there is one people on Earth who would like to use nukes against muzzies, it’s the Hindus of India. If Makkah were to suddenly become a glowing glass landfill, the subcontinent would rock with roaring laughter with everyone wearing marigolds and drinking bhang in celebration.

Maybe they made that city up, like in Wag The Dog, when they made up a whole country.

“They (muslim rioter) smashed the window panes, surveillance camera and tried to scale over the compound wall, but we dispersed them while exercising restraint.”

It is long past time to deal with Muslim rioters with restraint. These savages only understand overwhelming force. This is well proven based on hundreds of years of interactions between Islam and the West.

Wake up, people.
