Even the U.S. Catholic bishops had to fact-check Vice President Joe Biden's performance last night, issuing this statement about a comment Biden made regarding the Catholic Church (h/t @richardsstarr):

Biden gives scandal. He gives Catholics and others cover - they won’t have cover of ignorance on the day that really matters, unless they are truly not intelligent enough to know, of course, but he is a scandalous person.
It is NOT the woman’s body- it is that of the baby.

Well there is the Old Testament, the New Testament and now, coming to a Walmart near you, “The New Book according to Joe Biden’.
He said democrats protect the most vulnerable. Then he said women must be allowed to kill their babies. There is no condition more vulnerable than unborn children. Democrats demand the right to slaughter the unborn for any reason. They do not believe in it but they will not impose their elevated morality on the immoral.
So we are to conclude that a baby’s right to life is trumped if its mother does not want to continue to provide a safe womb. By this logic no one is responsible for supporting the life or well being of another if they choose not to do so.
A society that promotes abortion is antiwoman. It fails in the first instance to provide support and comfort for pregnancy.
