In an exclusive interview with The Daily Caller, Klein said sources close to the Clintons tell him that Bill Clinton has assembled an informal legal team to discuss how the Secretary of State should deal with the issue of being blamed for not preventing the Benghazi terrorist attack last month.
White House spokesman Jay Carney told reporters during a press conference Friday that responsibility for the consulate in Libya fell on the State Department, not the White House.
If blame for the security failures falls to Hillary Clinton, Klein said, it’s possible that she would even consider resigning over the issue.
“Bill is working on a number of strategies about what Hillary ought to do. He’s even gone so far as to play with various doomsday scenarios including up to the idea that Hillary would consider resigning over the issue if the Obama team tries to use her as a scapegoat,” Klein told TheDC in an interview.

Who were they working for, in other words, who paid for the film to be made?
Who uploaded the trailer to youtube and why?
Who sent the copy to the Egyptian cleric and why?
What was the ambassador doing in Benghazi without any security on 9/11?
Was he being set up? By whom? For what purpose?
Why did the White House stick to the ridiculous cover story for weeks?
Why is the administration picking a fight with the Clintons a few weeks before the election?
This whole thing is really, really strange.
I don’t think that providing additional support for a consulate is something that needs to be directly reported or approved by the WH. It should be handled by State, but the WH should have been advised of the situation, if only in writing.
But Biden’s “we didn’t know” as now narrowly defined by them is incredulous. I mean, how many other actions are undertaken by entities under the President’s purview of which the POTUS of VPOTUS have no knowledge whatsoever? I’d say a lion’s share of them.
So according to the example set by Biden, the WH is not to be held accountable for anything if they weren’t aware of them.
Either way, if Team Obama keeps up this stuff on "We didn't know" when it's obvious and not even questionable that the requests were made and that the people there feared for their safety, then it is Hillary who is going to get the blame and be the fall guy.
That will be very interesting to watch.

I still can’t get a grasp on why it was so critical to blame Benghazi, Cairo, etc. on a video trailer? Especially if it was an absolute certainly that this ruse would fall apart.
I guess they calculated that bearing the blame for being non-vigilant and without adequate security during a terrorist attack was a much more damaging scenario than eventually being busted for lying about a video trailer.
I’ve been following this intently for the past few days and have read everything I can find on it including watching the Congressional hearing this week...
During the Congressional hearing this week, Patrick Kennedy, Under Secretary of State (who reports directly to HRC) was repeatedly grilled on what he knew of plans to release the sheik. I thought that was really odd, as it was a rumor that had been effectively killed by the State Department earlier.
My theory: 30,000 Stinger missiles swapped for release of sheik and other concessions. Worked out with previous occupant released from Gitmo. Ambassador was to be kidnapped and ransomed for sheik without public knowledge of the SAMs. Raid failed, some reports ambassador died of smoke inhalation, so body was photographed as if it was carried off by a spontaneous crowd. Hide the evidence and blame the film which was funneled into Egypt by the CIA/State department as a deflection for unrest in the region. Hence the repeated statements by HRC and others without provocation that the US Government had nothing to do with the video. It’s just my tin foil hat theory....
Well... Obambi’s director of National Intelligence (DNI), James Clapper, has himself already, in effect, thrown the “intelligence community” under the bus, on this one. He seems to be attempting to defend himself and his agency, yet when one looks at the evidence from Benghazi even casually, it’s obvious he’s digging himself an even deeper hole.

Well, they were certainly all on the same page from day one, actually hour one - video, video, video. Like the script had already been written and was being recited verbatim.
Most often after a crisis, everybody’s going off in different directions with a bunch of different theories. Example: the hours and days after the real 9/11. Or else, everybody is cautioning against jumping to conclusions until more facts are known so don’t tell you anything.
Not in this case.
It’s almost like there was a Plan A which failed, so a quick text was sent out - On to Plan B.
The Democrat Party will be left in tatters as a result of this great divide that is about to occur between Clinton/Obama loyalists. And all 3 weeks before the election. Something tells me that Hillary will not be thrown under the bus and certainly won’t go gentle into that good night. No, she will rage, RAGE against the mighty Obumble and leave a trail of devastation that will rock this election.
If there is any karma or divine justice in this universe then these people will all go down!
You have to factor in the Benghazi local’s immediate explanation - likely honest - that Stevens was ‘killed by his own local puppets’.

I don’t think it will be long and the dots will begin to be connected. I believe some in Congress already know what really happened. It’s stunning to me that the mother of one of the victims is getting zero responses to her inquiries. The truth is going to come out soon, one way or another.
