Body Found In Colorado Is That Of Missing Girl Jessica Ridgeway, Authorities Confirm
Colorado authorities confirm that a set of human remains recently discovered are those of 10-year-old Jessica Ridgeway.
Police in Colorado confirmed Friday that a dismembered body they discovered earlier in the week in Arvada is that of 10-year-old schoolgirl Jessica Ridgeway, who went missing from her Westminster home a week ago.
"Our focus has changed from the search for Jessica to a mission of justice for Jessica," Westminster Police Chief Lee Birk said. "We realize there is a predator at large in our community."
Ridgeway began a short walk from her home to Witt Elementary School on the morning of Oct. 5 but never arrived. A massive search by hundreds of law enforcement officers was launched hours later because Jessica's mother works nights and slept through a call from school officials saying the fifth-grader wasn't there.
Ridgeway's case made national headlines in the days following her disappearance as hundreds of police officers, bloodhounds and scores of volunteers scoured the chidl's neighborhood looking for clues to her whereabouts. Her father, Jeremiah Bryant, who lives in Missouri, traveled to Colorado when he learned of his daughter's disappearance, police said.
“Our thoughts and prayers go out with them," Birk said, adding, "They’ve been in our hearts from the beginning."

The mother works the night shift. She watched Jessica walk the first of three blocks where she meets her friends. The school called to say she was not there, but the mother was asleep by then.
This is horrible. My two grandchildren live not far away in Boulder.
My guess the body was mutilated by wild animals, as it lay in an open space area for several days.
When the police find Jessica’s killer, I hope they give her dad a few minutes alone with him.
Used to be somewhat agnostic. Over the years, ironically enough, my own research has realized there is (apart from the shocking headlines) unspeakable evil in our midst, that I believe is luciferian, or cult-like groups of highly organized devil worshippers. Unfortunately, popular culture and the legal system has gone to great lengths to remove morality and God from the public sphere.
This is hailed as progress, I suppose. Unfortunately without morality (not that I’m a saint or anything) there is a vacuum of a sort, if people don’t believe in something they will fall for anything. Whoever did this is posessed by a demon, I don’t care what anybody says, and equally guilty, really, are those who allow or aid in the deconstruction of a just and moral society.
To murder this child is bad enough but to dismember her..tells me this psycho has done this before..children in the area reported to police days prior how a man in a white van(Its always the van isn’t it) following them around asking them if they wanted candy(Its always either the candy or the lost puppy)..so this guy was just looking for an opportunity to grab a kid, any kid, to please his psychotic fantasies. I hope they find this piece of crap and let the community have 5 min with him

It’s a suburb west of Denver. Pretty populated with loads of schools, houses and businesses. I-70 runs through it, too. But, I’m thinking that the monster that did this is a local resident of the area.
I’m sorry to hear about this. There used to be a Chevy dealership in Colorado where the owner’s daughter went to my school. She was kidnapped walking home and later found dead. That was back in 1970 and the crime was never solved.

A society that can’t protect the most innocent among us, our children, isn’t much of a society. And yes, I know what is going on in our schools too. I am very sorry for the Ridgeway family.
The bleeding hearts get the perverts out of prison, and then we have this take place over and over and over again.
Is this going to be a repeat offender? Will we ever know?
This is a very sad incident. Makes you want to wring someone’s neck.
