The public school teacher who bullied a student wearing a pro-Romney t-shirt is being investigated, according to a spokesperson for the school district.
We are in the midst of our process, the due process, of investigating, said Fernando Gallard, chief of communications for the School District of Philadelphia, in an interview with The Daily Caller News Foundation. We expect the process to be done within a couple of weeks or so.
Samantha Pawlucy, a 16-year-old student at Charles Carroll High School in Philadelphia, was ridiculed in front of her geometry class by teacher Lynette Gaymon for wearing a t-shirt expressing support for Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney.

I hear ‘anti-bullying’ commercials from the NEA all day long in Red Hampshire...I guess teachers are exempt.
Can I come out of the closet and talk about all the big, mean black women we encounter in our everyday lives?
I could talk about my recent mammogram, where the nurses were all surly and unaccountable--because nobody can talk back to a black nurse and she knows it. You'll either get decked or called out as a racist.
I hope this RACIST gets burned. If they won't fire her, sue the school!!
If the parents have the guts to sue, it might start a trend. There are a lot of white kids out there being intimidated by carriers of Obama phones.
Fire the fat *itch. She’s obviously too stupid to be teaching children, since she can’t get it into her thick skull that the KKK was a DEMOCRAT-created group of miscreants.
....when the story first broke, the school tried to pass the school teacher as a male.....she may walk like a male.
The teacher should be fired and never allowed near a school again. Will they do that?
Exactly right, this is all for public consumption, no consequences for the guilty party.
The only thing that this school district is investigating is how big a bonus this brave public servant is entitled to after making such a profound observation / sarc
You can go to the school’s website here and contact them.

Finally we get to see the teacher. About time. Fire her - hire someone qualified.
She may like Cream of Nothing.
Spot on.
“being investigated” is school district slang for “We are protecting her from you jerks”.
Her `apology’ was absolute B.S.
She might as well have said, “I’m really sorry that you’re all making such a big deal out of nothing.”
Typical NEA overpaid, agit-prop drone.
This moron teaches geometry.(that’s a laugh)
While I agree she should be fired, I believe your assessment of how long teachers actually work is a tad bit lacking. In the school system in which I work, we operate from the end of August to mid June--10 months roughly (now, take away the holiday breaks we get and we work nine months). Now, while I can understand why most conservatives think our job is "cushy", I can assure you that, while it has its perks, it is NOT "cushy". Dealing with people who have not one iota of desire to learn a damn thing you are teaching, and who actively FIGHT teachers on just about every damn thing in the world, does not in ANY WAY indicate a "cushy" job. Add to that the fact that very few, if ANY, parents give two squirted pisses about their students' performances due to a generational cycle of dependence on government handouts (at least in the system in which I teach).
That all having been said, I am not blind to the myriad "educators" who utilize the classroom as an indoctrination center for leftist thought. The woman mentioned in this article is a disgusting pig of a leftist indoctrinator and SHOULD lose her job, YESTERDAY. Just use care when identifying ALL educators as leftist scumbags who are trying to corrupt our students as we are most definitely not all in that vein.
I know what you mean. I steer clear of them whenever I can. They have no social manners and take pleasure in bullying everyone around them, especially if you are white.
