I would say that none of it is due to solar power. Solar power replaces coal and natural gas. It does not replace oil.
Wind power KILLS EAGLES! Where are the environazis on this? Why aren't they screaming?
Coming from Salazar it’s mostly bull crap. Any increase in domestic oil production is due solely to the State of South Dakota and the amazing oil boom that’s hit there.

The federal givernment OWNING ANY land in ANY State is obscene.. and pure socialism..
Incorrectly identified the state as South Dakota. I thought I caught it in time but, somewhow, both posts hit the thread at the same time

Sorry for the hiccups. I don’t understand what happened.
Salazar is the guy who led the fight to shut off oil shale development. Oil shale will never happen as long as he is in office.

Don't know if its true...but it would make sense from China's viewpoint
This is one of those rare situations where the bunny-huggers will come to the rescue. The land they’re talking about is prime Desert Tortoise habitat.
I thought public lands were set aside to prevent development, to maintain a natural environment. Not to be paved over in solar cells.
They don’t care as, long as it is their great god Obunghole who is doing it. The American people keep getting locked out of more and more of their public lands while Obungholes cronies get rich.
CAN YOU SAY AGENDA 21 ?
I think that so-called "public lands" in most states actually belong to the wretched federal gvernment. Texas is the only state that I am aware of that retained the right to control its public lands when it became a state.
How many millions acres did he declare off limits for any kind of development or mining and such?

Most of Utah IIRC. And Utah has put the federal government on notice that it is reclaiming those lands.
There needs to be grid backup to aupport these solar panels
and wind turbines. These energy sources are extremely ineffient to begin with, what happens when the panels wear
out and have to be replaced? What happens when the turbines
fail and need repair?
Its even less practical because they can not store wind energy.
Also, they cannot store solar energy either: it has to be fed into the grid.(sorry, I sholod have done a spell check on my last post)
Let's just hope THESE companies don't go bankrupt.
Why not consider returning all this land to the states? I doubt that the Feds got it with each legislature's permission for its state's land, as stipulated in the Constitution.
Scientists link magnetic reversal, climate change and super volcano to same time period
