Ex-CIA chief slams Biden for throwing U.S. spies under the bus during debate...

Two former intelligence chiefs today blasted Vice President Joe Biden for making the U.S. intelligence community a scapegoat for ‘the inconsistent and shifting response of the Obama Administration’.

Michael Hayden, former CIA director, and Michael Chertoff, who served as Homeland Security chief, hit out after Biden stunned many in the intelligence community by insisting that the U.S. consulate in Benghazi did not ask for additional security before it was attacked on September 11 - directly contradicting what security officials and diplomats have testified under oath.

The tough joint statement was issued via the Romney campaign. In it they added: ‘Blaming those who put their lives on the line is not the kind of leadership this country needs.’

Obama has to blame somebody. No one really expects Mr. Perfect to accept an blame on himself.

Biden is a parrot, he just says what he was told to say and he was told to say they never knew anyone wanted more security.

They shifted the blame to “Intelligence”,to State ,on anyone who is forced to accept it.Surprised he didn’t say George Bush was leading the mob.

Don’t voters have a right to know whether Biden is ill or merely unlikeable, impulsive and prone to deceitfulness?

I agree about Cheney but any kind of a public statement by him would be a rallying cry for team 0.

Yep. Hopefully more to come. I want every single Republican in Congress to be demanding resignations or start impeachment hearings. Of course they won’t because they are cowards and refuse to do their jobs

Biden again insisted that the administration initially believed the deadly raid was the result of protests over an anti-Muslim YouTube video which were sweeping the Islamic world at the time.

The administration had a cover story in place before the attack started. This leads me to believe that the WH new it was coming and might well have orchestrated it.

Now, to the question of why. Was this just a cover for the assassination of the ambassador because he knew too much or stumbled unto information he wasn't supposed to see.................or...........was this an assassination & destruction of intel that would implicate the SoS or the WH?

This attacked was planned and no one with the ability to offer assistance during the 6 hour firefight was allowed to help.

This administration has blood on it's hands and an end to all ala Mussolini is called for.

I suspect that Slow Joe was correct in that he and the food Stamp President didn’t know anything about the security. The Food Stamp President was out playing golf or upstairs watching sports. Slow Joe was working on a 1952 NY Times crossword puzzle. Neither attended any intelligence briefings or attended ANY cabinet meetings. It is probably UNTRUE that he and the food Stamp President believed what the intelligence people told them because they never were briefed. They brewed up that excuse in conjunction with State. Charlene Lamb, who has never removed her fat bureaucratic a$$ from her Washington office disapproved the security in order to spend the money on pools, electric car plug ins, and other nonsense at other embassies that brought accolades in the out of touch world of Washington. Probably got a huge bonus and maybe a hug and a kiss from Nappie over at Homeland Security.

It wasn’t an intelligence failure, it wasn’t a communications failure, and it wasn’t a failure in the chain of command. It was a decision making failure before, during and after the attack in Benghazi.

Here is a thoughout assessment...
