Minnesota coming into play? (O47 R43)
American Future Fund ^ | 10/11/12

Posted on 10/13/2012 5:01:53 PM PDT by NoobRep

Key Findings: 1. The Romney-Ryan team is right in the thick of things in Minnesota.

Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan trail Barack Obama and Joe Biden by just four points – 43% Romney/Ryan to 47% Obama/Biden in the Presidential race in Minnesota. While Minnesota is a Democratic state, the Romney/Ryan ticket’s 45%-32% lead over Obama/Biden among Independents makes the state competitive. Romney/Ryan lead 45%-42% among men, but trail 42%-52% among women.

2. While Obama’s image is decent overall, he has real problems with Independents. Romney’s image is 45% favorable/44% unfavorable, which is a little weaker than Obama’s 50% favorable/44% unfavorable image. However, among Independents, Romney has a huge advantage. He has a 50% fav/33% unfav image, while Obama is at a staggeringly bad 36% fav/49% unfav.

I still say we’re just watching the polling entities having to move back toward reality, so as not to be destroyed on November 7th.

Yes but they don't want to call Romney too far ahead just in case O can give them something to work with.

I agree. I don’t think he’s going to give them much to work with though, because he hasn’t got a leg to stand on.

Ole and Lena got married in Fargo and were going to honeymoon in Bemidiji. Ole got a little “amorous” and put his hand on Lena's knee. Lena said “Oh Ole, you kin go up farder tan that.” So he drove her to International Falls.

I moved out of Minneapolis just for that reason. Couldn’t stand it anymore. The rest of the state is quite conservative.

I don't know, they really infiltrate in deep in the backwoods, too. You can tell who they are. They're these Baby Boomer Hippie Types who weasel into city council, etc., and they start programs that are suppose to "help," but only create more havoc.

For example, there were two guys who moved into my local town, and from the day I met them, one a Brit, the other an obvious wine-sipping elitist, and they've drained more money out of this town than anything. Businesses are boarding up and they want more programs that promote the arts, theatre and music, and somehow that'll "bring back business" to the town. It's frustrating. I really would love to run them out of town on a rail!

RCP’s two credible polls pre-debate had Obama up +10 and +8.

This one at +4 now makes sense.

I know he wasn’t exactly a red meat Tea-Party type, but Norm Coleman should have won in 2008.

Pawlenty was the Govvy there as well for two terms, so there is a semblance of a Republican Party there

Libya is the biggest next shoe waiting to hit the floor. Even the Democrat controlled Senate is jumping in with both feet. Ouch!

All of this polling movement to R/R has been nice but I put no stock in MN. Ohio really worries me still. PPP is about to post a poll showing 51/46 Obama in OH. From their twitter feed in the last hour:

4m PublicPolicyPolling ‏@ppppolls Romney hasn't received the favorability bounce in OH that he has elsewhere- 45/51 now, 45/49 2 wks ago: http://www.publicpolicypolling.com/main/2012/10/obama-leads-51-46-in-ohio.html …

6m PublicPolicyPolling ‏@ppppolls Our full Ohio poll, which finds Barack Obama leading Mitt Romney 51-46, is now posted: http://www.publicpolicypolling.com/main/2012/10/obama-leads-51-46-in-ohio.html …

34m PublicPolicyPolling ‏@ppppolls Pretty sure we're going to do an Ohio poll every week for the duration now- really wish we had one from last weekend to compare to

51m PublicPolicyPolling ‏@ppppolls D+4 sample on our poll showing Obama up 5 in Ohio. 2008 exit poll was D+8

54m PublicPolicyPolling ‏@ppppolls @BuzzFeedAndrew Much stronger day for Obama Saturday. Why we don't just do polls in one night generally

57m PublicPolicyPolling ‏@ppppolls Ohio voters on who do you trust more on the issue of Libya: Obama 51, Romney 43

59m PublicPolicyPolling ‏@ppppolls One of the reasons Ohio's particularly tough for Romney- looking back voters support the auto bailout 54/37

59m PublicPolicyPolling ‏@ppppolls Ohio voters think Biden won the debate Thursday night 46-37, including 44-32 with independents

1h PublicPolicyPolling ‏@ppppolls 19% of Ohioans say they've already voted and Obama has a 76-24 advantage with them. Romney up 51-45 with folks who haven't voted yet

1h PublicPolicyPolling ‏@ppppolls Barack Obama leads our new Ohio poll 51-46, not much different from 2 weeks ago when it was 49-45

1h PublicPolicyPolling ‏@ppppolls Barack Obama was a lot stronger in our Saturday Ohio polling than Friday night. We'll have the final results soon

PPP is a partisan Democrat pollster. His job is to buck up the morale of the troops. I pay it absolutely no heed and neither should you.

Let's have everyong get away from sniffing the airplane glue. This IS Minnesota.

If we get voter ID after this election, it might come into play in the future. As of now they have already counted enough Obama votes to give him Minnesota.

I wonder how many people that voted early (before the first debate), now have regrets.

Oh we’ve had a couple of them in my little town as well. Surprising, as they’re ex-military guys, not Boomer hippies. Same kind of agenda which is weird in my book.

Maybe the above poster was right about heavy metals in the water. LOL

Again, there’s zero trend towards Obama in Ohio. Cuyahoga County has lost half of their registered voters since 2008.

Like above poster said, PPP is a left wing hack job.

Just read this and come to your own conclusions.

They don’t call it the PeePeePoll for no reason. It’s a push poll with a rat slant. Look to their internals.
