COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — With three weeks to go until Election Day, Democrats and Republicans are wrangling over early voting in the presidential battleground state of Ohio, with President Barack Obama's campaign urging the U.S. Supreme Court not to hear the Ohio secretary of state's appeal of a lower court ruling on the issue.

The campaign said in a court filing Friday that the high court should deny Ohio Secretary of State John Husted's appeal of a lower court ruling that reinstated early voting on the three days before Election Day and returned discretion to local elections boards.

Husted, a Republican, also asked the Supreme Court to delay the lower court's decision while deciding whether to take the case. He has said the ruling would affect how elections are run in all 50 states and is "an unprecedented intrusion" into how states run elections. Fifteen states and several military organizations have announced support for Husted.

the left want early voting becausw they want to vote early and often, they also want no ID because they can vote many times.

Screw this every state or ever state run by the GOP should stop this madness and only allow voting on voting day minus the military or extreme cases like a buisness man has to leave the county on buisness etc.

My state of FL was won by McCain on the night by 53% but te early voting added gave it to jugears, the GA mdia did an investigation and found over a 100,00 votes from just two states were given to the Dems and they voted often and early

Dems want to vote early and often. we have 10 days early voting here. It’s a scam. Just vote on election day or via absentee and that should be it. And you only get to vote absentee for a valid reason such as illness or you are out of town a lot.

The Dems master plan for years has been to get those on the public dole voting by any means possible. So they want easy ballot access. I don’t want easy ballot access. When I was younger you either got yourself to the polls on Nov6th (second Tuesday November) or you had no vote

Also, this early voting allows people who may be dead by the day of the election to vote, which seems weird.

Oh, by early voting I thought Dems would want early as in children being allowed to vote. You know, the teachers could “guide” them.

yeah I hate all this absentee stuff... except for the military and government employees.

It’s just too shady.

Article II, Section 4 of the US Constitution states:

4: The Congress may determine the Time of chusing the Electors, and the Day on which they shall give their Votes; which Day shall be the same throughout the United States.

That day is the first Tuesday in November.
There is no other day authorized for voting.
"Early voting" is illegal. It is fraud and those votes should not be counted.

I’m far more concerned about the ‘post election’ voting!

Ohio Secretary of State John Husted (R) tossed out Susan Daniels’ ballot challenge. He basically said using some one else’s SSN is not a disqualifier.
