On disputed borders [with Red China], Indian army deploys high-tech boats

The Indian army has deployed new QRT (quick-reaction team) boats to patrol the disputed waters of Pangong Tso (Lake) in eastern Ladakh, on the Himalayan border between India and Red China. Control of this 134-km-long lake is split between both India (1/3) and China (2/3), and it has been a flashpoint in the half-century-old border dispute. For years, Communist Chinese soldiers have frustrated their poorly-equipped Indian counterparts, deploying 20 fast, well-armed boats on the lake while Indian troops were handicapped by slow and outdated vessels. The addition of 17 US-made QRT boats capable of carrying 16 to 18 soldiers each will provide a more equal balance of forces.

A lot of indicators that India has been ramping up and updating their military lately. Makes you wonder if there’s a reason for it.

Maybe because China has been ramping up and updating their military lately?

Great...our American wealth redistributed so that the Chinese and Indians can fight each other with weapons and equipment that will fall apart....and no one will understand them when they call Mumbai or Shanghai when they need servicing

What nonsense are you talking about? There is no “redistribution” when India has paid for these boats. If anything, America would want them to order more.

Which equipments will fall apart? Have you read the article? Indians are buying American weaponry. And there is no “redistributed American wealth”. Indians are buying with Indian money. And there is no such thing as American “wealth”, just a lot of America debt, so get over it.
