A man accused breaking into an elderly woman’s home late last month and sexually assaulting her has been arrested.
Miguel Chavez, 57, has been charged with sexual battery with force, burglary with assault, battery on a person over 65 years of age, battery on a police officer or fire rescue personnel and resisting arrest with violence.

This is just a bizarre article. To start with, the woman was “barely elderly” (age 66), which *technically* begins at age 65 (full Social Security at 66), but is hardly accurate anymore unless they are otherwise ill, invalid or handicapped. Practically speaking, “elderly” has a range of variation from about 60 to in some cases 80+.
And the rapist is only 9 years younger than her, which pretty much scrubs the “gross out” effect of a young man raping an old woman. If a 57 year old man picked up a 66 year old woman for a date, nobody would bat an eye.
So, cutting to the chase, this was an ordinary, violent home invasion rape. This is a much better place to start because it has more accurate implications. That the perp is a villain who should get the maximum punishment is race indifferent. That is, neither the victim’s nor the perp’s race matter one whit.
He should have known there are two kinds of charged sexual batteries: size C and size D. D size should never be forced into a C sized opening.
I believe that the point of this post is precisely to highlight the MSM's selective outrage as to what constitutes an egregious display of "rampant bigotry and profiling."
Well, maybe. But the media have long been hesitant about posting pictures involving rape or children, unless the victim is dead.
As an aside, this has been weird going way back. I saw an old article from the 1940’s in which a man had “punched and kicked a woman, then proceeded to assault her.”
Made more confusing in that you could assault a person without touching them. If you touched them, it was “battery”. And though obviously they meant he raped her, it could have also meant he just screamed at her.
speaking of "age" if anyone thinks they're "elderly" once they hit 60, they might as well go lay down on some railroad tracks...I have many coworkers upper 50's and 60's and even a couple at 70...they're active, alive, valuable, funny, and outgoing....
40 yrs ago, "60"was elderly.....now, its really pretty young when most people live well up into their 80's...
