Anyone issuing such a statement is a Foole (professional fool) and should be shunned.
There is so much to mock in this essay, I don’t know where to start.
The flat-out lie that R/R think they can solve every problem by throwing money at the rich. Just wow. Is that what you hear, Mr. Dionne?
It makes me wonder what you hear when Zippy speaks (I mean, reads from the teleprompter.) Let me guess. You hear him saying that he will fix every problem, heal the earth, and bring utopia. You hear that YOU will get a bigger piece of the pie. But most of all, you hear that he will stick it to the rich (and to whitey) and that makes you happy because you’re a hater.
Let me tell you what I hear when Zippy reads: I hear him say “spread the wealth around” and “fair.” Do you know what that means, Mr. Dionne? That means he wants to take money away from people who worked for it and give it to people who didn’t. That means that he wants to put America into a downward spiral of misery. Of course he won’t say that directly, but what do you think happens when you apply his principles repeatedly? You disincentivize the productive citizens of this country from working and you encourage ever more greed in the lazy and entitled class. You build resentment among the hard-working people who actually do give to charity (unlike most liberals) until their compassion is eroded. Instead of spreading the wealth around, he will spread the misery around. And some people like that because they would rather have everyone equally and permanently miserable than to allow anyone to have more than they do.
And one more thing, Mr. Dionne. I’d suggest you take a close look at all the taxpayer money Zippy has given to his already rich friends (campaign donors really, not actual friends, because he has none). Solyndra. Elon Musk. Many, many more. I suppose as long as the rich are liberal, you don’t mind giving taxpayer money to them.
