The full Swing State tracking update offers Rasmussen Reader subscribers a combined view of the results from 11 key states won by President Obama in 2008 and thought to be competitive in 2012. The states collectively hold 146 Electoral College votes and include Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Michigan, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Wisconsin. If you do not already have a Rasmussen Reader account, subscribe now.

Platinum Members have access to detailed demographic information.

In the 11 swing states, Mitt Romney and President Obama are now tied with 48% support each. One percent (1%) likes another candidate in the race, and two percent (2%) are undecided.

Romney has led the daily Swing State Survey for the previous six days, reflecting the modest bounce he earned from the first presidential debate. Prior to that, the president had led for 17 of the previous 19 days, and the candidates had been tied twice. Most of these findings still are based on responses prior to Thursday night’s vice presidential debate.

I can’t understand how The One is still in this race - how it could be this close...

The only explanation - The media’s help must be worth several points.

Weekends seem to help Democrats b/c they are at home watching the TV waiting for the phone to ring. Repubs are out being productive.

The polls are nonsense. It is going Romney all the way in a big way.

Possibly because people have more time to watch TV, i.e. more DNC propaganda.

The 0bama regime’s calling of the Ft. Hood terrorist attack ‘WORKPLACE VIOLENCE’ alone should destroy any chances of 0bama getting re-elected. WTF is wrong with people!!!

Nobody is going to steal anything. Work instead of predicting theft and there will be no theft.

I think it’s significant that while Romney has gained, sometimes big, Zero just can’t get above that 47-48 plateau, and I have a feeling this one is MOE and really has Obama at 47.

I see a pattern here.. The left doesn't want to upset Islamists by calling terrorist attacks what they are:

Ft. Hood = workplace violence

Benghazi = protest over a movie

LIVING WILL FORM:

I, _____________________________, being of sound mind and body, do not wish to be kept alive indefinitely by artificial means. Under no circumstances should my fate be put in the hands of pinhead partisan politicians who couldn’t pass ninth-grade biology if their lives depended on it, or lawyers/doctors/hospitals interested in simply running up the bills.

If, after a reasonable amount of time passes, and I fail to ask for:

(Check appropriate items) ______a Martini ______a Margarita ____ a Weller and Diet Coke______a Bloody Mary, a micro beer ______a Gin and Tonic _______a Glass of Chardonnay or a good Napa Valley Red ______a Steak ______Lobster or crab legs ______the TV remote control ______a bowl of ice cream ______the sports page______ Sex or______ Chocolate:

If it should be presumed that I won’t ever get any better and when such a determination is reached, I hereby instruct my appointed person and attending physicians to pull the plug, reel in the tubes, and call it a day.

At this point, it will be time to call the New Orleans Jazz Funeral Band to come and do their thing at my funeral, and ask all of my friends to raise their glasses to toast the good times we have had.

*P.S............... I hear that in Ireland there is a Nursing Home with a Pub. The patients are happier, and they have a lot more visitors. Some of them don’t even need embalming when their time comes. If anyone knows the name of this happy place, PLEASE pass it on.

Amendment #1:
Should I become incapacitated as described above, DO NOT PULL THE PLUG until after I have voted against Barack Obama by absentee ballot in the November 2012 election. Thanks in advance.

I don't put ANYTHING past these thugs. This has been my fear all along. There's no way this fool could be up anywhere with his dismal record, yet, the polls have him neck and neck?? It's their cover for when they try and steal this.

My 2 cents.

Unseating an incumbent is difficult. Since 1912 (including) only 5 incumbents have voted out: Taft, Hoover, Ford, Carter, and Bush 41.

Ras polling is not going to change much as it will swing back in forth in small range not much more than -2 < even > +2.

I think his polling is to play it safe and because of it, it will be wrong by a few more points.

I agree; I don’t see how 48% of Americans anywhere could possibly vote for this guy. Well, four years ago 53% did, but he was running against a picture of a dead dog.

Still, should 0bama get re-elected, I am not really angry with him. I am most angry first at the American people who are stupid enough to vote for him, and second at the Pravda/Tass propaganda organs of the democrat party who lie to us and call it “news” to fool the stupid among us.

They always try. It didn’t work in 04, or 2010. We have lots of poll watchers and lawyers in OH.

The answer is that on weekends Republicans tend to not be home; out of the house doing things. Its been that way for a long time.
