Well, I’ll just have to say — women who want their birth control and abortions won’t be getting them anytime soon if our economy goes over a cliff. In fact, clinics will close down, not to re-open for a LONG time, and women may be set even farther back into the dark ages with no electricity, not to mention currency, running water, and all those handy little conveniences.

So, it’s a time for choosing, ladies.

Romney leads 51-46 in Swing States (Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Michigan, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Wisconsin)

Still, of these dozen, five are solidly going Romney's way (FL, IA, NH, NC, and VA) and four are a hard lean in Obama's favor (NM, PA, MI, NV).

If this plays out that way, it really boils down to whoever can capture 2 of these 3 states: Ohio, Colorado, Wisconsin.

Even if Ryan pulls Wisconsin into Romney's corner, if Romney loses both Colorado and Ohio, he won't win.

The high Evangelical presence along the Front Range in CO is NOT enthused, turnout-wise, over Mormon Romney. Things are looking better for Romney in Ohio per the reports I've heard.

Not a surprise that woman are turning to R/R......after Biden's antics at the VP debate.

Biden kept smirking, smiling, sneering, interrupting, overtalking and being sarcastic when Ryan spoke.........

Biden’s rudeness to Ryan, his uproarious laughter, snorts and sneers, his hectoring and mugging displayed Dems' in an evil light---according to some women.....

Women who've suffered spousal abuse said they could barely watch the debate-—b/c they were unnerved by Biden’s antics. They say Biden eerily reminded them of abusive husbands. All the tactics abusive men use to brutalize and demean, to make women feel inadequate and unimportant were the tactics they saw Biden use:

(1) not listening to their side,

(2) interrupting when they dared speak up,

(3) laughing and mugging when they tried to air their grievances,

(4) demeaning and marginalizing them for daring to disagree,

(5) asserting superority to keep them subjugated,

(6) showing contempt when they tried to defend themselves,

(7) being condescending to them and disdainful of their views.

Symbolic over substance. How childish can one get.

FWIW, I feel much better about Romney’s chances in Colorado than I do in Ohio. And, as you said, Ohio is looking much better for us in recent days.

Also, the numbers I have seen suggest it is premature to put Nevada in Obama’s camp at this point. I agree that NM is looking like a lost cause (barring a major turnaround) for Romney though.

PA and MI are also tough for R/R, but if they are truly up five overall in the battleground states, then they will be very competitive there as well.

I’m waiting for Robin of Berserkeley to weigh in on this. She’d probably echo the same thing, a little more eruditely.

This may also be the election year that breaks most of the rules, because Barack Obama and Slow Joe are so odious.

he USA TODAY/Gallup Poll shows Romney leading Obama 51%-46% among likely voters in the swing states. Men who are likely voters back him 54%-42%. The states are Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Michigan, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Wisconsin.

“Younger women should see in Romney a wise father.”

As well as a protector and provider, quietly strong and humble. Whether feminists or not, women respect those qualities in a man, deep down. He stood by his wife during breas cancer and is supportive regarding her current illness. He made a good home for his family, and it appears that he’s been faithful. You just don’t get that from homosexual Barack and insane Joe.

"Tomorrow night’s debate will be scripted tp help Obama win back his lead with women voters."

He has been practicing for a couple of days with the questions that will be asked. I do not doubt for a moment that the questions that will be asked have been provided to the WH. Just as you said... "scripted". He wont have a teleprompter, so he has to memorize his answers.

Even so... I think Romney will still do better than the keyan marxist in the debate.

In your scenario: FL,IA,NH,NC,VA-Romney; NM,PA,MI,NV-Obama, all Romney needs is Ohio (18) or both Colorado and Wisconsin (16). And if Romney takes COL and WISC he can lose either IA (6) or NH (4).
I think Romney takes Colorado but I’m less confident about NH and Iowa. I think Nevada is in play too.
If Romney does take Fla and Va. it opens a lot of paths to victory.

Women think Ryan is good-looking, and yes some women is are that shallow. My ultra-liberal Aunt mentioned she was considering supporting R/R only because Paul Ryan is such a cutie and she doesn’t really like Obama or Romney.

I think the VP debate hurt the Obama/Biden ticket with women voters.

Maybe all those college coeds decided that mean Joe Biden was picking on such a nice, handsome young man, Paul Ryan.

Oh, well, if that’s the case, who am I to complain of shallow voters? I’ll take any I can get for the R/R team.

In a different vein, how can the women be swinging toward the R/R team and the election still be so very close, as many pundits keep saying? It’s puzzling. As for Blacks being 100% for Obama, I doubt it. In 2008 I think Obama got about 95% of their vote. No way will he get a higher % than what he got in 2008. Blacks have suffered more from unemployment than any other group.
