Will there be any consequences for Secretary Clinton accepting responsibility for Benghazi attack?
American Thinker ^ | 10/16/2012 | Bruce Johnson

Posted on 10/16/2012 6:54:13 AM PDT by SeekAndFind

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has accepted responsibility for Benghazi security deficiencies. Now, who accepts the consequences of responsibility? And what of the disinformation campaign?

Accepting responsibility is only step one. The consequences of failure come second.

Will the second part ever happen? No.

Will Hillary resign? No. Will Hillary suffer any consequence for accepting the "responsibility" for under manning our hottest embassy situation on the 9/11 anniversary? Will she accept responsibilities for the deaths that ensued after requests for additional security? No. Will she be held on misleading the nation as to the causes of the attack. No. This is nothing more than an uncomfortable admission which serves as a diversion.

Will Obama be held for his non attendance of intelligence briefings the week prior to 9/11? Or for flying to Las Vegas on 9/12 for a fund raiser? No. Hillary took the bullet.

This is a vapid "end of story" empty acquiescence. A "Please media, go away", declaration and request. What is necessary now is the consequence of poor decision making and department control which cost lives out there in the "big game". What is necessary is the revelation of who knew what and when. Just like Fast and Furious, somehow "who knew" never comes out. This is political bargaining behind the scenes. We have this on you, and now you will march to our music. It seems to be a more valuable bobble to have in one's political war chest, than to bring to sunlight the facts and the circumstances.

In this mode, politicians all appear to have a mutual understanding amongst themselves. Kinda like, "we are all in the same actor's guild, we all make mistakes". And maybe that is the BIG problem in the American political system.

Of course not.

One could only wish that Hillary, Nancy Botoxi, degenerate Reid, et al could be in an airliner piloted by the Obamadork. (Video of the crash at 11.) Party afterwards.

Oh, forgot, in many ways, that’s the situation we’re in right now.

The consequences are four dead Americans. The administration and their media shills have accepted the consequences as a "bump in the road" and moved on.

Nothing more to see here...

Democratic defa vu? You’ll recall that way back in 1993, Attorney General Janet Reno took responsibility for the federal massacre of the Branch Davidians at Waco, Texas. “I made the decision,” Reno said at her news conference after the Waco bonfire. “I’m accountable. The buck stops with me.”

Only time will tell what the consequences will be to Hillary.

In that video where she accepts responsibility, did anyone else happen to catch her say, "I have now for 20 years been very much in the administration / decision making, first with my husband then after 9/11 working with President Bush....." Huh? Hillary worked with President Bush in decision making after 9/11? What's that all about?

Democrats are expert shape-shifters. Because they have no principles, they can lie about everything, and they know that they will get away with it.

Republicans, on the other hand, are required to be as blameless as Jesus, because they have moral standards to uphold.

Wonder what the details of the deal were that got her to fall on the sword?

If she's truly responsible, she should resign immediately. She effed up and four Americans are dead. Of course she won't resign, not yet anyway.

OK, she had confessed to the murder of 74 men, women and children and violated their Constitutional Rights.

Why didn't they arrest at any point and convict her? There are scores of willing accomplices that also share responsibility for the massacre.

Ditto Hitlary.

I read this in a different light: Hitlery is P.I.S.T. and yes there will be h.e.l.l. to pay for being thrown under the bus. I bet Slick Willy is shaking and he's not even in trouble this time.

It's easier for Hitlery to swallow a camel than to admit she was at fault.

Nixon at least was trying to get to the bottom of a communist plot to undermine the war effort in Vietnam. Meanwhile, Obama's buddies, Ayers, Dohrn, other like-mindeds, were on the side of the North Vietnamese communists.

Here’s what I think will happen. By taking responsibility out loud and in public, Hillary is offering a contrast between herself and O-blame-a. Maybe she did a little pollig of her own and found out how many Americans are on to his blame game.

By going public with this, she has taken the “high road”, such as it is, and if she happens to resign over this just before the election, she damages Obama AND maintains her “integrity”.

Actually, I think this was the best move she could have made under the circumstances. The ball is definitely in Obama’s court. What’s he going to do now? Jump in front of a camera and say, “Me, too! I take responsibility, too!” Nope. He’d look like even a bigger idiot and loser.

This will fall under the usual forms of accepting responsibility by most high officials: responsible for everything in general, but nothing in particular (the ‘security people’ made the decisions).

All Hillary Clinton did was come out and read a line from her job description. Big deal. She has the blood of four dead Americans on her hands. I still haven’t seen what nationality those other two dead security people were, but the way the Obama Administration and the old media are ignoring them is a disgrace. So she has the blood from six people on her hands. And the blood is on Obama’s hands, too.
Folks, I’m evidently not doing a good job of communicating how serious this appears to be. Obama and Hillary helped kickoff and prosecute the war in Libya to kill Qadaffi. While killing Qadaffi may have been a good goal, professionals look to see what other unpleasant consequences an operation like this might have. Obama and Hillary didn’t do that. Thus, adequate resources were not devoted to securing the man-portable anti-aircraft missiles that Gadaffi had secured in Libya. Evidently, Obama and Hillary don’t know where those missiles are, or can’t get to them. The al-Qaeda attack at Benghazi may have been to just fight with Americans, but why so many terrorists for one attack? They had mortars, why not lob a few rounds into the compound? More likely, it was to slow down the search for the missiles and show Obama and Hillary that they (al-Qaeda) mean business. The commercial of Obama and Hillary may have been a requirement from al-Qaeda to embarrass them and to let al-Qaeda know that Obama and Hillary were aware of what’s going on. It may have been a signal “We got your message.” The lack of security at Benghazi may have been caused by al-Qaeda saying they wanted to come in and talk about the missiles but the heavy security was frightening them off. It may be that the Obama administration reduced security to try and show a willingness to deal. Maybe they’re just that incompetent. Doesn’t matter....six people are dead due to Obama and Hillary’s “We Are The World!” foreign policy. And now we get to the coverup. It’s the missiles. They kicked off and supported the military and clandestine operations in Libya that put those missiles out of our reach. Al-Qaeda may have the missiles or some other group may have them and is trying to sell them. Maybe they’re just buried in the sand. Doesn’t really matter. Think of this as Fast and Furious but with SCUD missiles instead of pistols. That’s the best analogy I can come up with. It appears that Obama and Hillary were naive, stupid, incompetent and negligent in this matter. These are the people charged with conducting our nation’s foreign policy. It is painfully obvious that they are not capable of performing satisfactorily in their jobs. They need to be immediately dismissed before we suffer a catastrophe that makes this Benghazi debacle pale in comparison. The press should be screaming about this to force Obama and Hillary to resign, but they appear to be too invested in them to do the right thing. This leaves impeachment or voting the Obama administration out. The quickest way to protect our country is to vote these Democrats out. This isn’t about partisan politics, this is about preventing a national catastrophe.

Will there be any consequences for Secretary Clinton accepting responsibility for Benghazi attack?

Is this a trick question? With the Admin Press (AP) carrying the RAT water, how can there possibly be any consequences for anyone in this clown's admin? The only sparks you will see is coming from Rep. Issa (R-CA) and Congress is now out on a "break" until after Barry is reelected.

This story goes away after AP claims what a huge win Baraq makes tonight. The AP and their brigade of "journalists" will announce tomorrow morning that the race is over - no need to have the last debate.

If you waste your time watching the debate look for lots of "American cannot change leadership in the middle of the crisis we are living today, and I might point out this is what Bush left me." I for one will not be watching teevee tonight.
