In the 11 swing states, the president earns 49% of the vote to Mitt Romney’s 47%. One percent (1%) likes another candidate in the race, and two percent (2%) are undecided. This is the first time Obama has led on the daily Swing State Survey since October 8.

Why is there such a disconnect between this poll and the national poll? I don't think this election is a done deal, at all, and Romney has as much pressure on him tonight as the Marxist.

The “polls” are all over the place. That tells me that they haven’t got a clue what the hell is going to happen on November 6th.

Scott messed up a bit here with his timing. He was supposed to put out the slight shift to 0’ after the debate, NOT on the day of the debate. This messes up the planned upcoming narrative by the enemedia of 0’s comeback.

You’re exactly right. I think the people predicting a big Romney win are out to lunch. It’s going to be tough if it happens at all. Ras has yet to show OH trending R&R and w/o OH, R&R is done.

As for the debate tonight, all 0bama has to do is appear more caring and understanding than someone who can come off as a rich robot. I’ve got a sinking feeling that we may have seen the highwater mark of R&R. I hope I am wrong.

There's still a good-sized number of people in this country who are still emotionally bonded to Obama and can't quit him. Some appear to have been peeled away after the first debate, but winning over large slices of them is a tall order. Just like beaten spouses, they somehow are convinced he abuses them because he just cares so much.

I know everyone always talks about Michigan and PA being possibilities, but I really don’t think they are. There has been talk of a “surge” in PA ever since Bush 2000...him losing it is what started the “calling it for Gore” scenario. I remember there was that big hope that McCain was going to pull a shocker in PA.

Well if Obama carries MI and PA by a decent margin, that might account for this...the equivalent of polling 2 states as a “battleground” when they aren’t...or at least Romney doesn’t need them to win. You have to wonder about Iowa too.

Of course, I don’t think N. Carolina is a battleground either, Romney will win that handily.

But Romney can take back Florida, Indiana, NC, VA and win Ohio and Colorado even being behind in that poll because of PA, MI and Iowa being included.

The democrats are planning to use Bain and something called “Sensata” against Romney. They have shot their credibility with all of their false claims in tha past but Twitter Hashtag #sensata needs to be seriously FREEPED!

What this story about some employer coming out against Romney about? The leftists are acting as though they have the October Surprise to bring down Romney.

Seems to me this is trending the opposite of most every national and state poll right now. We are seeing blue leaning swing states tighten, and all the red leaning states with a decent margin for RR or a tie. I think this may turn out to be statistical noise. I am guessing this poll is still fairly even, with a tie or one point lean either way.

it could be that the recent Daily Kos poll shows Romney ahead of Obama so they can present Obama as the “Comeback Kid” after tonight’s debate.

One meme forcefully portrayed by the MSM now is that the “economy is rebounding” on many fronts. They are running with the phony 7.8% unemployment number, yesterday’s report showing consumer spending increase (of 1%!) over the month previously and a “recovering” housing market. The MSM might have declared the Marxist a loser in the first debate, but the back story they’re pushing is that the “we are recovering economically”. The Marxist Campaign is even fashioning swing state ads that parrot this message. Somehow this meme is falling under the radar because of our current over-exhuberance.

S’cuse me...did Romney come across as “a rich robot” in the first debate???

Anything but. That’s one of the reasons he owned it. So why do you think he will come across that way this time??

Good grief.

I have never seen Romney as a *rich robot*. I see him as someone so successful that he can and does give away tens of millions to others and for others. I call that compassion, integrity and, yes: caring.

I see emotion in his facial expressions and I hear it in his voice. I neither see nor hear much besides yelling, anger and haughtiness in zer0. Romney’s eyes are soft and he is attentive to others when they speak to him. zer0’s are cold and opaque and he dismisses anyone who even mildly disagrees with him.

All the Democrats have done is accuse. They do not walk their talk. Romney has.

First, newbie, there is no ‘over exhuberance’ on our side.

Second, since when did people suddenly start trusting the MSM on the economy? They’ve been pushing the ‘we are recovering’ line for 3 years and YOU think that suddenly three weeks out from the election, people are now buying it?

Your ‘concerned’ posts are pathetic and your timing is suspect.

That might not go down the way you're thinking it will.

I almost hate to say it, but this is where Romney's Mormonism could help him out, a lot. All of the Mormons I know, are friendly and caring, almost to a fault.

(Of course they're doing it to get converts...)

LMAO. I sent a total of $1000 to Romney’s campaign over the past 3 months, with another donation going out tomorrow. Weak minds have the most trouble with an honest discussion of the facts. The President and you would make good friends.
