UPI Poll: Romney has 3-point lead
United Press International ^ | 10/15/12 | UPI

Forty-nine percent of likely voters said they would vote for Romney and 46 percent said they favored Obama, results of the UPI-CVoter poll indicated.

For the first time since UPI/C-Voter began polling for the 2012 election cycle, Obama's approval and disapproval rating were the same: 48 percent. Until this latest poll, approval ratings by registered voters were higher than his disapproval ratings for Obama's performance as president.

Registered voters also took Obama to task when asked to rank his performance on a scale of zero to 10, with zero being the worst and 10 the best. Voters judged Obama at 4.9 percent, down from the 5-plus points he had last week, results showed.

Results are based on nationwide telephone interviews with 1,478 registered voters, of which 1,244 identified themselves as likely voters, conducted Oct. 7-13. The margin of error is 3.5 percentage points for the total sample and 4.5 percentage points for likely voters.

Yet this, along with today’s Romney +4 Daily Kos poll, somehow can’t seem to get included into the RCP mix.

Assuming these media sponsored polls are still polling D+10 or thereabouts, then Romney must be really winning by around 15%

Wish they would do away with this type of polling.

This does not select represent the process to select presidents.

Instead, it must be done by state and summed up to represent electoral college results.

Anything other than that just makes no sense at all.

If Romney gets over 50% for a few days, he’ll almost immediately pick up an extra point or two. It’ll be:

Two weeks at 46
Two weeks at 48
A week at 49
Two days at 50
Rest of the way: 52, 53 etc...

Once people begin to see Romney as a viable alternative and recognize that voting against Obama doesn’t make them racist - a fact they’ll recognize by a majority of their countrymen voting against him - Romney’s support will snowball.

All it will take is one or two days at 50%- 51%. After tonight’s debate, it could happen as early as this Friday.

Pleaseeeeeeeeeeee! Pray for Romney today and for tonight’s debate...say a prayer for him that God Almighty will give him an abundance of wisdom...he is going to need every ounce of it! Satan himself personally will be in the mix of this debate! Holy Spirit Help us, make your presence felt tonight in the lion’s den! Thank you Jesus for the Victory, for Your loving kindness and Your mercy! Father in heaven favor Mr. Romney tonight, may the American people see a man of honor, courage and integrity that no matter the evilness thrown at him he will come out as a shining light, unscathed and victorious! In Jesus name, Amen!

Well, Texas Rose-—that was a very nice prayer, and it covered all the bases too.

I am also praying up here in the northland of MN that Romney will be inspired with the wisdom of the Holy spirit.

Amen

Well, no. Traditionally, it’s almost impossible for someone to poll at 49-50 and lose the electoral college. In terms of OH, we usually poll .5% higher than the national average. ZEro has already given up on NC, FL, IN, and is really down to OH, CO, NV, and NH.
