WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) - Applications for U.S. unemployment benefits jumped 46,000 to a seasonally adjusted 388,000 in the week of Oct. 7-13, the Labor Department said Thursday, erasing the sharp drop from the prior week. Claims had fallen two weeks ago to a four-year low, but the decline mainly stemmed from a statistical quirk in the data that often happens at the end of a quarter and it was not reflective of a rapidly improving labor market.

‘Everybody should pay their fair share’ the Left loves to say.

Trouble is, THEY DON’T. Almost half (47%) of the people don’t PAY ANY TAXES at all, and furthermore, SOME ACTUALLY GET OTHER PEOPLES’ TAXES REBATED TO THEM VIA THE EARNED INCOME CREDIT.

We should all pay something into the system, even if it’s a little tough for a while. Return to fiscal sanity, stop the borrowing and overspending and stop ALL government subsidies and loans / bailouts.

But anybody who advocates such strange policies is automatically labeled ‘Extremist’, ‘Racist’, ‘Hater’, ‘Bigot’, etc..........

It was so obvious. Friday (after the THU jobs report) saw the DOL lower the UI by 0.3 points.

The following THU simply could not be the same...it HAD to reflect better jobs. So, DOL shoves out manipulated numbers and throws Cali under the bus. The lower UI was justified (and DOL execs get a “spot bonus” from the campaign?)

This week, status quo.

Yep...I agree. But good luck winning on a platform to raise taxes on the middle class and low income.

Plus they claim SS tax is a tax. It’s really a retirement fund so that’s BS and we never refuted it when it came up. So Republican’s played that game too!

Gallup says not all of the report is “part time”, but that’s insignificant really. It is devastating that so many Americans are UNDEREMPLOYED!

Hours are being cut EVERYWHERE for part-time employees.

Another Benefit of Obamacare™

Yes, Obama has killed the American Dream ....and he intends to complete turning it into the American Nightmare and then bury it nice and deep if he gets another four years to complete his mission of destruction.

We can’t let that happen. Even if you don’t like Mitt Romney, you have to vote against Obama next month. We can’t let this turn into a replay of what happened in 2008 with conservatives refusing to vote for McCain. Our very lives, freedoms and survival is at stake here.

Will there be one more of those on Friday November 2nd or is that too soon after October ends to have the number released?
**************************************************************
The October unemployment rate will be announced on November 2nd (the Friday before the election). The September unemployment rate of 7.8% announced on October 5th was not related to the California fiasco. LOL, it was a totally different fiasco with its assessment that the number of Americans employed increased about 900,000 over the August employed.

I don’t think the unemployment rate announcement will include a similar claim of soaring employment in October. But it wouldn’t surprise me if something similar to the California thing happens with the determination of numbers of new unemployed folks.

There’s going to have to be some serious purging of the ranks of the BLS after Romney is inaugurated. Too many corrupt civil servants there.

It would be be too late, too convenient to save Obama if he's behind rather than running even.

We have to beware Allred and other things that will be thrown at Romney at then end.

We know Bush almost lost in 2000 because Fox ran with the DUI incident that was actually known well that weekend before the election but was not well known.
