Knockout! (Obama Won Debate - Deluded Left Alert)
The Afro ^ | 10/17/2012

President Obama and Republican challenger Mitt Romney began the three-week sprint to Election Day with a testy debate Oct. 16 over domestic issues raised by voters, including a question from an undecided Black voter who wondered how the president will help him.

“Mr. President, I voted for you in 2008. What have you done or accomplished to earn my vote in 2012?” asked Michael Jones in the debate featuring questions from undecided voters at Hofstra University in Hempstead, N.Y. “I’m not an optimistic as I was …Most things I need for everyday living are very expensive.” Obama responded by ticking off for the undecided voter his accomplishments ranging from from health care reform to the U.S. auto industry bailout.

“Does that mean you’re not struggling?” he asked the man. “Absolutely not. A lot of us are…The commitments I’ve made I’ve kept and those that I haven’t been able to keep, it’s not for lack of trying and we’re going to get it done in a second term.”

The assertiveness of that and other responses contrasted with Obama’s more passive approach in the first debate with the former Massachusetts governor. Romney was confronted with a more aggressive opponent in the second of three planned presidential campaign debates. Political observers said Obama won the encounter.

In a debate that centered around balancing the federal budget and touched on pay equality for women and energy policy, the two men were contentious, verbally sparring throughout the event, which was staged in a town hall-style format with questions from voters, not journalists.

The exchanges frequently resulted in the two men interrupting each other. At one point, they paced in circles on the red-carpeted stage in the Hofstra arena like boxers in a prize fight.

A composed, confident Obama allowed Romney to walk into a mistake when he said the Obama's administration misled Americans over what caused the attack at the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya, last month. Four Americans were killed.

The president, while accepting responsibility for the vulnerability of the Middle East outpost, noted that his immediate response to the attack singled out terrorists as the culprits and steered Romney to a transcript of his Rose Garden remarks a day later. It was confirmed by the debate moderator, CNN’s Candy Crowley, that Obama had attributed the act to terrorists, though Romney argued that it took the president “14 days” to blame Islamic extremists for the violence.

One of the verbal gaffes by Romney came in response to a question about equal rights for women. As he recounted how, as a governor, he addressed the absence of women appointees in key state positions, he noted that he had lists of female candidates compiled, resulting in what he called “binders full of women.”

The statement triggered thousands of critical Twitter comments before that debate ended.

Romney assailed Obama about the state of the nation’s economy and outlined a five-step path toward what he believes would produce economic recovery, including revising the tax code to put a ceiling on tax deductions.

But, Obama told the crowd of 82 undecided voters, his opponent’s approach is not in the interests of the middle class.

"Governor Romney doesn't have a five-point plan," the president argued. "He has a one-point plan. And that plan is to make sure that folks at the top play by a different set of rules. That’s been his philosophy in the private sector, that’s been his philosophy as governor, that’s been his philosophy as a presidential candidate.”

The candidates also jousted about energy policy at length. Romney said more domestic fossil fuel exploration, especially on federal land should get under way, with fewer federal regulations, while Obama restated his policy that alternative energy forms, such as wind and solar energy, are needed for the nation to achieve energy independence.

The third and final debate is scheduled for Oct. 22.

Obama and Crowley choreographed the debate?   (Posted on 10/17/12 at 10:14 p.m.)
When the inevitable Libya question was asked, Obama baits Mitt by saying, “I said on day one that it was an act of terror.”

Mitt, knowing the administration sold the youtube theory around the world for nearly two weeks after the attack, moves in for the boom.

Obama says “check the transcript.”

Moderator picks up a piece of paper and says “he’s right.”

Why did Obama say “check the transcript” and Crowley just happened to have one sitting right in front of her? What are the odds?

Then what else is left for her to do, but incorrectly back up the president in front of millions of people. The most puzzling thing during this orchestrated insanity is the crowds applause as if the president has just been exonerated. They were in effect applauding the idea that the president knew it was a pre-planned terror attack on day one and had been lying to the world the whole time.

Did the president and Crowley orchestrate this exchange and bait Mitt into it?

Also, be sure to vote in their poll, “Who Won the Second Debate.”

The week of the first debate, their poll question was about American Idol.

What do you expect from a ‘publication’ (do they really have anything in real newsprint?)that can’t even stay with the politically correct times and have a name that doesn’t remind one of “Shaft - he a bad mutha fu.....”?

Based on the name alone, I’d expect to see Angela Davis walking the halls or Black Dynomite and other icons of the 70s Blaxploitation Films Era.

I’m with Rush. This “points” thing is dumb.

Supposedly O won the first debate with 37%, R with 30%, and a “Tie” with I think 32%. Does anyone think that because of the 2nd debate 7% more people will vote for O? No. Most people seem to have decided for Romney. So no matter how the pundits come up with “points” Romney came out ahead.

There is only one “Win” that matters, and that is Nov. It is a zero sum game. All the money and time put into the loser is wasted, except for those who make a living off it.

As things stand now, the debates have been convincing people to vote for Romney, because win or lose, he’s the one who’s coming off like the has what this country needs. That makes him the “winner”.

That’s because she gave Obama’s Campaign EVERY question she selected! She also colluded on Obama’s “lifeline” option when it came time. Coincidence is not an option when the political life of Obama is concerned. Count on it.

It’s ironic that her name is Candy since she apparently eats a ton of it.

TigerClaws, I’m with you. When Romney hit this point, O said, Go on or Proceed or something, and he had a look on his face of gloating - he felt Romney had walked into a trap.

On cue Crowley comes up with the transcript and interferes, when she is actually wrong. And then O says, “Louder, Candy”. It does seem conspired.

The sad thing for O is, like Rush says, it is a losing gambit. EVERYONE who listens to news at all KNOWS O has been hitting hugely on that evil video, and blaming that. The ambassador is dead. The only ones defending that lie are Dems who are pretzel twisting desperately because O is their messiah.

You could have a recording of O conspiring about it and they wouldn’t believe it. It’s a naked lie, and it’s just too out there.

“Does that mean you’re not struggling?” he asked the man. “Absolutely not. A lot of us are…”

Us? The implication is that he too is “struggling”.

Hardly a reputable or mainstream publication. Funny that their own poll shows Romney won the debate by a 2 to 1 margin.

It is my opinion that Romney outed not only the lie Obama and his henchghouls have been feeding the world for two plus weeks, but Mitt outed the Candy Crowleys of the media who are defending and promoting the lie(s) of this criminal enterprise lying scum administration! ‘Let’s get it on the record’ is so powerful that even Candy the shill Crowley couldn’t let it stand, for it exposed her little barry bastard commie drug-addled degenerate pResident. All this crap being spun by enemdia types like this ‘The Afro’ prove all the more that their little demigod has been exposed and cannot be dressed up by them any longer ... the turd is floating in the punchbowl and dressign it up with more lies isn’t removing the stench.

I suspect that's what known as the Freeper Effect.
