Bill Clinton: Romney's Argument 'Is True, We're Not Fixed'
Weekly Standard ^ | 10/18/2012 | DANIEL HALPER

At a campaign event for Barack Obama's reelection campaign, Bill Clinton said that Mitt Romney's argument "is true, we're not fixed":

"Governor Romney's argument is, we're not fixed, so fire him and put me in," said Clinton. "It is true we're not fixed. When President Obama looked into the eyes of that man who said in the debate, I had so much hope four years ago and I don't now, I thought he was going to cry. Because he knows that it's not fixed."

UPDATE: A Romney spokesman comments: "We agree with former President Bill Clinton. The economy has not been fixed under President Barack Obama. Today, more than 23 million Americans are struggling for work, poverty has increased and food stamps are at record levels. Mitt Romney believes we can do better by creating 12 million new jobs with higher take-home pay, cutting spending to put our nation on course for a balanced budget, and actually fixing our economy."

Hey RNC:

Killer Ad— Show Clinton saying it isn’t fixed, then follow immediately with Obama’s “If I don’t turn this thing around in 3 years, we’re looking at a 1 term proposition”.

Nothing more needs to be said!

I wonder if Bill even cares who trashes his wife.

President Clinton cares deeply about his wife.

As deeply or more so than a chess grandmaster cares about his queen.

The only way he returns to the center of power is by placing his wife in the Oval Office.

This is Clintonese for saying, "I have never worked so hard to fix something in my life. I feel your pain. I just need more time."

Slick Willie won't even take Valerie Jarret's call, which will make her much angrier than any “go f-— yourself” would!

I'm not going to nominate Bill Clinton for Husband of the year, obviously. However, when it comes to politics, I believe that he and HRC are a team and that Bill has been waiting for four years to get revenge on Obama for getting the nomination instead of HRC. BC’s pro-Bain remarks over the summer, his speech at the convention, and these latest remarks all seem neutral or pro-Obama, but they all undermine Obama. The Clintons are now de facto Romney operatives.

Bil Clinton cares about one thing - HIMSELF.

On the rare occasions when his self-interest meshes with our interests, he is a good ally.

Don’t ever trust this snake but don’t get in the way either when he is slithering around someone else.

Clinton has kicked Obama in the nuts like this before.

He’ll back-track tomorrow.

Totally agree. Bill Clinton is the master of sound bites. He knows exactly how this will be presented.
