President Obama called the installation of the new college football playoff system one promise kept at a campaign event Wednesday at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio.
PRESIDENT OBAMA: I came here today because I heard youve got a pretty fun football team to watch. Undefeated, if Im not mistaken. A shot at the MAC championship, maybe a BCS bid. I just want to point out that I was pushing for a playoff system we got a playoff system. One more promise kept for those of you who are following college football.
The sad thing is, this poor deluded egomaniac doofus probably believes every word he said!
“Basketball Jones” keeping a promise.
The playoff was instigated by having two SEC teams playing for the BCS national championship. The rest of the conferences needed to make sure they weren’t cut out of a chance to play for title. It had nothing to do with Obama.
The man has single-handedly elevated “Stupid” to the status of “Fine Art”.
President Sports Center keeps his promise to the nation.
Oh that explains everything. No wonder the government is rudderless. Obama thinks he is in charge of the NCAA.
These kinds of posts are why I have a hard time spotting satire. Really, he should move to the third world next month. I’m sure there’s something open down next Hugo.
We will be having OUR championship, of OUR playoff system - on November 6th. HeHeHe.
Ha! I just said the same thing to a friend.
Delusions of grandeur. Takes credit for Seal Team Six — then outs them, endangering their lives and the lives of their family. Failed to keep it quiet until all of the leads from the documents and computers found during the kill could be exploited, endangering more Americans.
The administration did invent the classic ‘jobs created or saved’ stat — most impressive work of political doublespeak in recent years.
That won’t win my vote. Let’s junk the BCS and go back to the bowls.
I’ll believe the (____________), when he yells “ROLL TIDE”.
Even more remarkable was that going into the last weekend of the NCAA football season last year and the conference championship games, there was actually a chance that the BCS championship could have matched up two SEC teams (LSU and Alabama), neither of whom played in their conference championship game.
If you think that sounds bizarre, just go back and look at what unfolded in the last weekend of the season. Georgia had 4 losses, but they were 7-1 in the SEC and played in the SEC championship game as the top team in the SEC East. In the SEC West, meanwhile, Arkansas was ranked #3 in the nation and played LSU in the final game of the season (people forget that the SEC had #1 through #3 teams in the nation at that point last season). If they had beaten LSU, went on to play in the SEC championship game, and then lost to a Georgia team with 4 losses, LSU and Alabama probably would have been ranked #1 and #2 going into the BCS bowl games even if neither one of them played in the SEC title game.
What a douche.
INMHO, the playoff system will not end the controversy.
We have a cartoon President.
There is a reason I refer to him as Emperor Nero Narcissus
