Media celebrities and Catholic attendees laughed uproariously at Cardinal Timothy Dolan’s big event where you’d never know that ObamaCare’s birth control mandate will soon be the law of the land.

With Candy Crowley’s televised, CNN tagged “superb” rescue mission fast fading from the rearview mirror, there’s mercifully only one presidential debate left and it happens on Monday.

All check points from the latest polls show a 7 point lead? One poll showed a 7 point lead (already down to 6 today). Others are far more mixed, with the RCP average virtually tied. Gallup could be right, but it's absurd to say that "all check points" show a 7 point lead. If I had to guess, I'd say that Romney has a small popular vote lead (1-3 points) at this point.

Would the Gallup people show great polling numbers for Romney only to change them with about 10 days remaining before election day, giving Obama a “sudden” and remarkable comeback? This would of course make news 24/7 with Obama portrayed by the MSM as the irrepressible force, the candidate of destiny, sweeping to a great November victory, etc.

I can’t imagine a polling company with Gallup’s prestige engaging in such a fraud. But remember, the Regime has threatened Gallup twice! Could there be something going on behind the scenes? A little quiet intimidation akin to “You’ve got a nice little polling company there. Be a shame if anything happened to it! Like several years of VERY expensive DOJ lawsuits!”

That my fear, too. He could do more long-term damage in that time than he has in 4 years. We need to get the Senate as large as possible on our side.

The Founders set up a system with election in early November and transfer of power the following March. The change to January happened during FDR’s time, if I recall correctly.

While an outgoing president can do damage, I also recognize that there is a lot to be done in a transition. I don’t see how you could do it in less than a month.

I hope that RR not only reverse every EO, but I hope they organize an investigation that would make the McCarthy Hearings look like a walk in the park.
