This is the first I’m hearing about the boy scouts and his endorsing gay scouts as late as August.

His endorsement is of homosexual scout leaders, which is the real issue.

Mitt has also always supported the full homosexualizing of the military, he was years ahead of the curve on that, and he has already said that he will not reinstate DADT.

You are very wrong...Minnesota is now polling within 4% for Romney...

Please cite a specific poll...

* You gov survey (Oct 16, 2012) has Obama 52-44% Minnesota Presidential Election Voting History

Other poll sites has the Oct. 18, 2012 released SurveyUSA poll -- has Obama 50-40%
* MN presidential polls
* Latest MN polls

Thursday, October 18, 2012
Minnesota '12 Presidential General Election
Barack Obama 50%
Mitt Romney 40%
Undecided 6%
Other 4%
Source: SurveyUSA/KSTP
Survey conducted 10/12/2012-10/14/2012
550 likely voters

An Oct. 9 MN poll had Obama 53-43%

Tuesday, October 9, 2012
Minnesota '12 Presidential General Election
Barack Obama 53%
Mitt Romney 43%
Undecided 4%

They're all 8-10 pts Obama's way in MN from what I've seen...

Besides, MN hasn't gone Republican in a POTUS election since 1972!!! That's 40 years!!!!

You've got wishful thinking on the brain!

...the raw vote total would help to support Romney with a perceived mandate and will of the people

Much better than this would be a "sweep out" of the Dems in Congress...then a mandate could be swept thru...

Dick Morris had it in his daily video. Don’t know if it was a public or internal poll. MN is an example of where the likely difference could be made downticket.

“Romney believes that he will become a God”
******
Maybe you have a special deep insight into his character that the rest of us don’t, but many people do not see the deity aspect or grandiosity in Mitt that you evidently see.

Like many people I’ve had the good fortune to work with, he seems like a person intent on solving problems and righting the ship. Many were selfless and it was just in their nature to fix things. And that was their reward. Mitt could easily do other good works without taking on the immense challenges of the presidency and the wreckage that will be left after Obama.

I think the misunderstanding is that when you hear that Romney is preparing to become a God, and believes that he will rule over his own planet of worshipers, as our God does to us, that you think it is just an accusation, or a smear, or a negative claim.

It is basic Mormon teaching, a fundamental part of their cult.

Bishop Romney comes from Mormon royalty, his family immigrated here about 170 years ago to personally serve Joseph Smith, after being converted in England. Mitt was the equivalent of a Catholic Bishop, as was his father, as were many men in his line of Mormon devotees, one almost became the Holy Prophet, but dies before that could happen.

Post 100 gave a simple description of some Mormon theology, it is why Christians require Mormon converts to be baptized into Christianity.

This is from the Church of Latter Day Saints themselves::
“The Prophet Joseph Smith taught: “God himself was once as we are now, and is an exalted man. … he was once a man like us … God himself, the Father of us all, dwelt on an earth. …” 6

“If Jesus Christ was the Son of God, and … God the Father of Jesus Christ had a Father, you may suppose that He had a Father also. … And where was there ever a father without first being a son? … If Jesus had a Father, can we not believe that He had a Father also? …

“He [Jesus] laid down His life, and took it up, the same as His Father had done before.” 7

Long before our God began his creations, he dwelt on a mortal world like ours, one of the creations that his Father had created for him and his brethren. He, with many of his brethren, was obedient to the principles of the eternal gospel. One among these, it is presumed, was a savior for them, and through him they obtained a resurrection and an exaltation on an eternal, celestial world. 8 Then they gained the power and godhood of their Father and were made heirs of all that he had, continuing his works and creating worlds of their own for their own posterity—the same as their Father had done before, and his Father, and his Father, and on and on. With these things in mind, W. W. Phelps, in a hymn, asks the question:

“If you could hie to Kolob
In the twinkling of an eye,
And then continue onward
With that same speed to fly,
D’ye think that you could ever,
Through all eternity,
Find out the generation
Where Gods began to be?” 9

Nothing is more basic in the restored gospel than these truths that, because of recent events of space travel, are so timely. The great hope of the gospel for us is that we may come to a oneness with our Lord and our Father and partake of this same work and glory and godhood. Being joint-heirs of all that the Father has, we may then look forward to using those powers to organize still other worlds from the unorganized matter that exists throughout boundless space. Creating other worlds, peopling them with our own eternal posterity, providing a savior for them, and making known to them the saving principles of the eternal gospel, that they may have the same experiences we are now having and be exalted with us in their turn—this is eternal life. 10 No wonder this possibility continues to fascinate and inspire Saints of all ages.”

The Romney family has a deep history of anti-Americanism and even anti-American oaths of revenge against this nation, Mitt has a personal history of draft evading, siding with the anti-war people under Nixon, leaving the GOP because Reagan came to head it, and other anti-American acts.

We don’t see love of America in the Romneys, or Mitt, at any time during their 170 year history here.
